Old All Saints Church has undergone a stunning conversion from Anglican chapel-of-ease, built in 1869, to a luxury holiday home, sleeping up to 6 guests.  It is located in the pretty village of Horsmonden in the Weald of Kent, a countryside idyll surrounded by hop gardens, orchards and woodlands.  The property has been sympathetically converted into a stunning dwelling, retaining its painted decoration to the chancel roof and offers a great example of polychrome brickwork and original arched stained glass windows.  The open plan living area is spacious and has a magnificent double height, vaulted ceiling with glass doors to a comfy TV room and another subterranean snug.  The bespoke staircase with glass panelling transports you to the three double bedrooms with the master, on the top floor, boasting a ensuite bathroom with far reaching views from the bathtub.  Old All Saints Church has been beautifully styled and designed with different areas for relaxation or simply coming together as a family or group of friends for a great getaway in the beautiful Kent countryside.  The property is more suited to adults and teenage children due to its design features.  Pub: 0.8 miles   Shop: 0.8 miles  Beach: 29 miles

Out and About:

Horsmonden is a small and pretty countryside village located between Tunbridge Wells and Cranbrook.  In the village there is a well stocked village shop with a deli and bakery counter and a pub, The Gun and Spitroast.  Other pubs/restaurants locally:  the Goudhurst Inn in Goudhurst, The Small Holding in Kilndown and The Vineyard in Lamberhurst, all with great menus and beer gardens.  Great outdoor venues are Bedgebury Pinetum and Forest - perfect for walks and cycle rides and for the more adventurous Go Ape. Bewl Water is a beautiful reservoir offering a fantastic range of outdoor activities – from cycling to water sports, open air cinema and a restaurant. There’s also a few National Trust properties in the area, like Scotney Castle with it’s pretty castle ruins or Sissinghurst Castle with its famous gardens – both around 15 mins drive away.  If you fancy venturing further afield and crossing the border, head off to the Sussex coast and visit Rye on the way or in the opposite direction, Canterbury and visit the cathedral.  There are many local farm shops in the area selling local produce and vineyards. Not too far away is Hush Heath, a family-run local vineyard that has produced award-winning wines. Absolutely stunning property , loved that some of the original features were kept ( Font, organ & Ceiling inscriptions). Great base for exploring the beautiful Kent countryside. Beds were comfortable with good linen, whilst my friend slept soundly , I am a light sleeper and I did find the road noise outside a little annoying at first but soon got Read moreused to the slow but steady flow of traffic. I would still recommend this as a lovely and different place to stay. Hide

The property has great character, is well equipped and comfortable but it may be unsuitable for people with reduced mobility as the stairs lack a proper handrail and access to the en-suite bathroom is a bit awkward.

This is a wonderful building to stay in, completely unique and sympathetically renovated with a good mix of old and contemporary styles which worked really, really well. . It is very well equipped and to a high standard, with everything you needed for cooking during your stay. The beds were very comfortable and the building was pleasantly warm to Read moresuit the time of year. The area has lots to offer with beaches, small towns and National Trust properties within easy reach by car. I would happily stay there again, as would all of my family. Hide

A fantastic place-the photos simply don't do it justice. I'm not sure how this place can be topped. Beautiful area all around too. The village shop was well stocked and very handy although there are plenty of places to eat all around the area. We will definitely be back.

An incredible place to stay in for the week and so beautifully adapted by the owner. Even though the weather was kind to us for the week in February we didn't really want to go out for long as we were happy relaxing in the Church.

Fantastic property and the quality of bedding/towels and furnishings are outstanding. A truly unique property that is well worth booking. Lovely location and brilliant space for parking. Although next to a road this is not an issue with very low volume of traffic.

The property is absolutely stunning. We had an amazing stay. Loved the comfort and space. Such a pretty part of the country and lots to see and do not too far away. We visited Scotney Castle, Rye, Canterbury, Battle and Hastings. Wonderful to have 2 fridges! Would love to stay again. Thoroughly recommended.

Unbelievable location. Magical, atmospheric, grand and yet welcoming. If you like any music then listening to it whilst relaxing in the nave of a chapel is wonderful. The layout of the holiday home gave us fantastic family dinners in an unforgettable unique space but having the snugs gave us cosy family film viewing too. Everything worked...the Read moretwo ovens even made cooking a pleasure and the ensuite bathroom was pure luxury. So much to do in the area (walks, pinetum, vineyard, Go Ape, Sissinghurst, Leeds Castle and the best cat cafe in Tonbridge to name a few) and yet we felt remote enough to relax completely. Could not fault the place. Would recommend without hesitation. Hide

The property is stunning and has been beautifully renovated. The pictures do not do justice to the interior with the stained glass windows and original features. It is furnished to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable. The property is adjacent to a very busy small road so it is quite noisy with passing traffic especially in the gardenRead more. A central location for visiting National Trust properties and Hever and Leeds castles which were interesting. We also went to Canterbury for the day and also visited Whitstable which is nearby. Hide
