Set between the sea and mountains, the farmhouse is within close proximity to Anglesey and the majestic mountains of Eryri - Snowdonia. Visit Unesco World Heritage Sites, Bethesda in the Ogwen Valley.(approx. 5 mins by car). Walk or cycle along the Lon Las (Slate Trail) or experience the thrill of travelling above a slate quarry by zip wire at Zip World. Learn about the history of the slate industry at the National Slate Museum Llanberis. If you are feeling adventurous climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) or ascend by train. Explore the magnificent Caernarfon Castle, or enjoy a trip in a steam train from Caernarfon to Porthmado via Aberglaslyn and Beddgelert. Bangor itself boasts a number of attractions – Bangor Cathedral, Pontio Arts Centre (with a cinema theatre, studios etc), Storiel (museum), swimming pool, Garth Pier (2nd longest in Wales), Penrhyn Castle NT property. Cross the Menai Straits to Anglesey within minutes to visit Plas Newydd NT property, Cadnant Gardens or Beaumaris Castle. The farmhouse is an ideal base for exploring both sea and mountains; there are great routes to follow on the Lon Las Cycle Path, the beautiful Ogwen Valley and all of Snowdonia is waiting to be explored. There's an abundance of local attractions to suit all visitors, including Zip World, Penrhyn Castle, Llanberis-Snowdon Railway, the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, numerous beaches and the Coastal Path.
