Southwold Denes - Southwold Denes stretches from Gun Hill to the harbour's mouth and acts as a vital sea defence for the town. Suffolk Coasts and Heaths are working with several agencies to restore and maintain the area. And a very important area it is. It is the home of skylarks and little terns (please be careful not to disturb the nests) and the habitat of sea holly, sea pea and bird's foot trefoil to name a few. Our properties here enjoy the sunrise over the sea and stunning sunsets over the marshes.

This house worked very well for our party of seven adults. All four of the bedrooms were good and the beds were very comfortable . The bed linen and towels were of good quality and there were plenty of coathangers which is not always the case. Location wise it was perfect being so close to the town. We didnt have to use the cars once we had parked Read moreon arrival as there was plenty to do for three days. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk and ferry to Walberswick. Hide

We had a really enjoyable stay. Loved the spacious living area which opens up to the sun terrace. Light and airy throughout; beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. We slept very well as very quiet. Views of open countryside from the back rooms ( first floor bedrooms) were delightful, especially as the sun rose in the mornings; the terrace is a gRead morereat sun trap in the afternoons. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc if eating in. Location superb-beach steps away, delightful town with shops, public houses and eateries extremely accessible as was the walk and ferry to Walberswick. So much to see and do nearby that it was easy to lock the car ( we managed parking for three cars on the front drive, by the way) and put the keys away and relax. Would thoroughly recommend. Hide

WOW!! What a stunning accommodation, Did Carlsberg Build this? We have watched this site being built and this year we had the pleasure of booking it to celebrate my 60th Bday. The perfect spot to base a week in Southwold for 4 couples. The Open-plan communal room was the focus for us with well spec'd bedrooms & Bathrooms. The weather playRead moreed ball so the use of the patio to watch the sunsets enjoyed. The location is only minutes from the beach and 5 [10 for me as I am now 60] mons from the town. Great for a large family or just a group of friends to enjoy a fad town [But don't tell anyone!] Hide

An excellent property with a wealth of facilities and comfort. We stayed for a winter break and, even though the weather was cold, we were warm with good background heating. The location is close to the beach for bracing walks (in the winter!) and there is good parking for 2 cars.
