Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends. Aldeburgh is also home to one of the oldest golf clubs in Suffolk and has the added benefit of two courses which is perfect for visitors of the local area.

Really superb house in a perfect location : near to all the town's shops, eateries and beach, yet away from all the busyness of the main tourist areas. A perfect venue for a multigenerational family get-together! Highly recommended.

Great position for Aldeburgh, is very well-equipped and very spacious. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for my elderly parents. However it wasn't that clean and if you have a large car it won't fit in the front parking space, but we managed to find parking in the road.

This property is like a Tardis as you arrive it looks quite small but as you enter it is delightful, roomy, light and very comfortable. We found the disabled parking spaces on the road very useful and all the neighbours and builders are so friendly. I loved taking the dog for a walk round the surrounding streets and footpaths it was like a voyagRead moree of discovery each day looking for new routes. Aldeburgh was an unexpected delight, we enjoyed our holiday so much we can't wait to go back. Hide

The off road parking was to narrow for us to park our car and open doors to get out.

We had an issue with our booked cottage (flood) was notified on the day as we were travelling but was given a lovely cottage upgrade and there were no problems. Thank you for making what could have been something very stressful into something that didnt really affect us at all.
