The owner, Andrew, was there to help us but never intrusive. He had actually built the cottage extension with 2 architect friends and that is why this building is extra special. Its location in the lovely village of Birchover is just right to go in all directions around the Peak District. Altogether a brilliant holiday package.

We have been to Swallows Nest a few times now and it is an amazing place. We love seeing the Birds, Pheasants, Squirrels in the garden. There are Bird Feeders and you can fill them up from the bag of food that is in the Cottage. Swallows Nest has everything you need, Fridge Freezer, Cooker, Microwave, Dishwasher, TV, DVD player, Log Burner. BaRead morethroom has a lovely walk in shower - very powerful. Plenty of drawer space in bedroom, wardrobe with coat hangers, Hairdryer. There are Books in the living room cupboard should you be a reader. If you require any assistance the owners are only next door and they are very friendly. There are two lovely pubs within walking distance, The Druid Inn and the Red Lion, they both do fabulous food. There are places to walk in the area too should you wish. Theres a Bus Stop on the Main Street that will take you into Bakewell (not sure of timetable but there is one at the Bus Stop). All in all we have found ourselves a little Gem and cant wait to book again. Hide
