Situated in a pretty cobbled street, Bobbin Cottage is presented to a very high standard, whilst still retaining its original charm and character. It features a comfortable lounge, modern dining kitchen, three lovely bedrooms and a wonderful bathroom. Set in the heart of Belper, in Long Row, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Conservation Area, where you can re-live the life of a millworker while revelling in the luxury of the cottage.

Bobbin Cottage is a short walk from Belper's vibrant centre with its independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants that helped the town win a Great British High Street Award. Some of our favourites include Nonno's Italian and the River Garden Chinese restaurants. George's fish and chips are award winning and you can't beat a glass of wine while watching a film at the Ritz Cinema!

Belper is one of the gateways to the Peak District. Drive up the valley and you are soon at Matlock Bath, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and then on to the tops of the of the Peaks. Carsington Water and the National Tramway Museum are in the surrounding hills and you might even venture to Alton Towers. Ashbourne with its Victorian market square, local shops and antique stores is another nearby town worth a visit. So is Wirksworth with its heritage trail, attractive church green and Ecclesbourne Valley heritage railway.

Very disappointed with condition of cottage including faulty radiator in kitchen and one of the bedrooms (which also had none functioning ceiling lighting making it unusable). Overall maintenance and cleaning standard not acceptable ( old food in fridge, dirty tray in oven, cobwebs etc). Had to cut stay short as middle of winter. Small refund diRead mored not compensate for our special family occasion being ruined and cut short. For a cottage of this size and rent I would have expected a dishwasher. Hide

A lovely comfortable cottage that is equipped to a high standard. Parking is an issue as the cottage is located on a narrow cobbled street and getting a parking space is a bit of a lottery. We paid to park on a car park that was 5 minutes walk away as we found that much easier. It was good to have Netflix on the large TV. The cottage is well appoiRead morented for the town centre and there are plenty of places to eat locally. Hide

Bobbin Cottage is a cosy yet spacious cottage in a central location, shops, eateries and public transport links all within walking distance. Belper is steeped in history and the cobbled street gives a sense of stepping back in time. The cottage is traditional but has everything you need for a family holiday.

Bobbin Cottage - a delightful place to stay with stylish interiors and a smart, well equipped kitchen.
