We loved this cottage and would certainly return. Our week there (February) was for enjoying the great Peak District walking and seeing our family who live locally. The cottage is ideally situated for us. 2 really excellent pubs are within easy walking distance plus a village cafe which sells amazing sourdough bread. There are numerous local walks Read morenot requiring a car to access. The cottage itself is part of a beautifully converted coach house. It is very comfortable with underfloor heating and a woodburner if needed. Everything is nicely furnished and equipped. There were just 2 of us staying but it would work perfectly for 4 people too. There are ensuite facilities in both bedrooms and also a downstairs toilet and washbasin. From Nuthatch there are beautiful views to the east from the bedroom windows. A nice touch was a welcoming bottle of wine, flowers from the garden plus eggs from the owner's hens Hide

Although rural the walk into nearby Chinley takes less than 15 minutes, a torch is handy if going out after dark, and wear something reflective, not muchRead more traffic as only a single track but safety comes first.
