Llamedos is a lovely 17 century cottage, restored to a high standard and located in picturesque Castleton in the midst of the Peak District. The cottage's spacious accommodation combines beamed ceilings and other traditional features with more modern facilities. Add its location, in a quiet corner of the village just off the green, to make this a very rare find.
Castleton is a beautiful village, gathered around the church and green and set in a magnificent cauldron of hills. It is also a very interesting village with 'country' shops to browse around, the famous Blue John caverns to explore, Peveril Castle to storm and many a pub and restaurant to visit after a hard day’s walking.
How about climbing to the top of Mam Tor to marvel at the views, exploring rugged Edale, or venturing out along the Pennine Way. On more restful days, visit Tideswell with its well dressings, the 'Dambusters' Derwent Valley dams or Victorian Buxton. Children will treasure memories of the 'dares' they gave each other in Chatsworth's adventure playground, the exciting underground boating experience in Speedwell Cavern and the wonderful owls and otters in the nearby Chestnut wildlife sanctuary.
