Curlew Cottage is an extremely spacious and comfortable cottage for two, lovingly created out of a mellow stone barn. Indulge yourselves in somewhere just a little bit different! The cottage's quality interior sets it apart and is reflected in its recent Visit England Gold Award. Luxurious fittings highlight the owners' attention to detail. But it's the lovely setting in Windmill, a sleepy little hamlet under the dramatic Hucklow Edge, which really makes it special; the local stone cottages and quiet lanes are surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside.

This is the world famous landscape of the Peak District National Park. Climb to the top of the Edge, have a pint in a local inn and gasp in wonder at the incredible views. Explore the local lanes and perhaps find the intriguing 'plague' village of Eyam.

In the very heart of the Peak District, with all Derbyshire's attractions like Chatsworth, Bakewell and Buxton nearby, there are few better places for your holiday. Wherever you go each day, get back in time for a last glass of wine on the patio, gazing at the night sky brimming over with stars.

If you want a small cottage for 2 max nowhere in particular surrounded by the Derbyshire Dales, this is the cottage for you. We had horrid weather (it was December!) but still had to walk out with the dog. Cottage was comfortable but has electric storage heaters with a wood burner for chilly evenings. This might not suit everyone.

Had a lovely stay at the cottage. Everything we required was here. Such a beautiful area that we greatly enjoyed, visiting little villages and then towns of Bakewell and Buxton. We would like to return to Curlew Cottage and the Peak District. Thank you Abi & Russell.
