Araglen is part of the owner's handsome Victorian villa, providing beautifully appointed and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful backwater on the edge of Matlock. The two parts of the house are well separated, private, with their own entrances and garden areas. Have an evening glass on the patio before walking into town for a fantastic meal at one of the many local restaurants.

It's a five minute walk through Hall Leys Park into Matlock with its interesting range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Wander the other way to explore the gorge, river and cable cars at Matlock Bath, the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, the Cromford Canal or climb high up onto Riber hillside for breathtaking views over the Peak District. The delights of Bakewell, Haddon Hall, the Chatsworth estate and Monsal Head are all just a short drive away.

Ground Floor:

Lounge: in classic Victorian style with original cornice and ceiling rose, leather suite, gas coal effect fire, Freesat TV, DVD player and WiFi.

Dining Room: in more contemporary style.

Kitchen: with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, large fridge, freezer and dishwasher.

Utility Room: with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Cloakroom: with WC and basin.

First Floor:

Bedroom 1: a spacious room with king size bed and views towards Riber Castle.

Bedroom 2: a smaller room with double bed.

Family bathroom: with power shower over the bath, basin and WC.

Second Floor:

Master Bedroom: another spacious room with twin beds, TV, armchair and en suite shower room with power shower, basin and WC. Please note that this room can be made up as a super king size on request.

Outside: Enclosed garden, terrace and courtyard with garden furniture, chimenea and barbeque. Secure storage is available for bikes.

Parking: on the driveway to the rear of the property for up to 3 cars.

A cot and highchair can be requested.

Beautifully furnished and equipped. The owners have created a real 'home from home' feeling. Located within easy reach of town & amenities, but away from the busy A615.

Very well equipped and some lovely added extras. Excellent location, within walking distance of all the attractions of Matlock.

Araglen was the cleanest and best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. The central location suited our needs to a tee, really enjoyed our stay.

Araglen is a beautiful, spotlessly clean property with everything you need in the house. The owners were so kind and helpful We would certainly look to book here again and would highly recommend the accommodation.
