Situated in the heart of the market town of Kirkbymoorside, in North Yorkshire, is this charming stone-built cottage. A character cottage, it's the perfect retreat for friends and families looking to explore this historic area and full of beautiful wooden features being owned by a joiner.

Drive through the arch to the parking space in the Joiners yard at the rear, then enter the property through the beautiful sunny conservatory with original flagged flooring. The spacious lounge dining area is full of original features and leads through to the well-equipped kitchen.

Upstairs, over two floors, there is a choice of two sunny rooms, a double and a twin with a very spacious shower room and an en-suite WC on the upper floor.

The property benefits from its own rear patio area where you can enjoy a refreshing drink in the sun after a long day sightseeing.

Kirkbymoorside has a range of independent shops for picking up some essentials and a selection of pubs, restaurants, and cafés for all your wining and dining needs. Nestled at the gateway to North Yorkshire, you are a stone's throw away from the North York Moors, rich with pathways for walking, cycling and hiking opportunities. Kirkbymoorside Golf Club is ideal for amateurs and professionals alike to enjoy a friendly game at the 18-hole golf club. From Ted's Cottage, there is easy access to both the coast, if you fancy a walk down the beach with the family, or into York, for if you feel like a spot of shopping inside the walls.

GROUND FLOOR:

Kitchen: The beamed kitchen is very well equipped.  You will find a fridge with a freezer compartment, ceramic hob, an integrated electric oven with grill, a dishwasher and a microwave. The is also a small breakfast table and two chairs
Lounge:
cosy lounge with beamed ceiling, two 2-seater sofas, three coffee tables and a smart TV offers the perfect place to relax. Character built-in cupboards and large wall mirror add to the charm of the room. 
Dining area: with patio doors out to the conservatory, the table and four chairs are located in a quiet corner close to the large feature brick fireplace with an electric stove fire.
Conservatory: This delightful room brings the outside indoors with an original flagged floor, two 2-seater sofas and a coffee table. Two wall lights allow the room to be used at all times.
Staircase:  From the lounge leading to the first floor.

FIRST FLOOR

Bedroom One: An elegantly furnished room with a King-size bed and two bedside cabinets with lamps.  There is a hanging rail and a vanity wash basin with drawers beneath and a mirror above. This room also boasts a view towards the Yorkshire Wolds
Shower room: The is an unusually large room with a dressing area leading through to a wet area with a large shower cubicle and thermostatic shower. The wash hand basin has a large mirror over and there is a WC. The dressing area has a beautiful wash-stand, a floor standing mirror and handmade wooden shutters to the window.
Staircase: From the landing leads to the upper floor.

SECOND FLOOR

Bedroom Two: Here, in this beamed ceiling room you will find two three-foot single beds with two bedside cabinets and lamps. There is plenty of clothes hanging space, a chest of drawers and a lovely dressing table with a triple mirror and stool beneath. The dormer window has views over to the Yorkshire Wolds.
En-Suite WC:  Large vanity sink with mirror over, WC and heated towel rail

OUTSIDE

Courtyard: To the rear through the conservatory is a lovely, paved courtyard ideal for catching the sun, with table and chairs provided.
Outhouse: With a washer and dryer and plenty of room to store bikes.

We had a wonderful week in Angel Cottage. The cottage was ideally situated for exploring North Yorkshire and Kirkbymoorside itself was a very friendly place with lots of nice places to eat.

Angle cottage was lovely, very comfortable and right in the centre of kirbymoorside. Great location for exploring the north yorkshire moors and surrounding areas. We all had a great time.

This lovely cottage is in a great location both for local shops and for exploring the North York Moors. It was clean, warm and comfortable, with everything we needed for a self-catering holiday. An added bonus was private parking for one car at the back.

We had a comfortable stay at Angel cottage. It was getting cold day by day. The heating system was great and whole cottage was warm within minutes. Comfortable beds and big bathroom. Kitchen good size and provided with tea bags sugar coffee milk n biscuits pack. Parking at the property. There's a Spar, coop, grocery shop, chemist, 4 pubs and chinRead moreese take aways. Location was good to we travelled to whitby, Scarborough, Robin hood bay, malton, Helmsley so many villages near by. We will definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family. Thank you . Hide

Very comfortable well equipped cottage, very welcoming and helpful owner. Feels like a home from home, so good this was our second visit. Superb location within easy reach of North York Moors, the coast, York and the many attractions in the area.

Beautiful cottage and much larger than I thought it would be! Very comfortable beds and plenty of room for a family of 4. Would definitely recommend and next time we're holidaying in Yorkshire this cottage would be first on my list of places to stay.

A beautiful cottage in a quiet village. Perfect for relaxing but also a great base for exploring North Yorkshire. Would definitely recommend and we will hopefully be returning very soon!

Based in centre of village very quiet, larger than expected cottage clean, cosy and well equipped. Lovely conservatory for glass of wine & a book in the evening. Owner lives next door very friendly never intrusive. Cottage central for visiting N.Yorkshires attractions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angel Cottage. Everything we could need was provided. Comfortable bed and lovely shower. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Having storage for our bikes was a great bonus. Would recommend to anyone and not hesitate to return.

This is a beautifully equipped and comfortable cottage well placed in the market town to wander from your doorstep here and there. There is also a parking place for the cottage which is great. Lovely comfy beds and shower is marvellous. The conservatory is great to sit in when it's raining (and I'm sure it will be on a summer evening too). StairsRead more are a little steep as is the norm in old cottages just in case anyone has stairs phobia. Hide

Angel Cottage is perfectly situated for easy access to the North York Moors and the east coast seaside towns. Kirkbymoorside is a lovely, unpretentious, friendly village with everything available that you might need; pubs, bakery, restaurants, grocery stores, so that you can top up supplies, eat out or take out. The Lemon Tree chip shop is rightly Read morehighly recommended. The house is deceptively spacious and lovely and warm with a well maintained kitchen, Wi-Fi, comfy beds, excellent shower, and the added bonus of off road parking. We highly recommend this property. Lovely cottage which is only a couple of minutes walk from local pubs, hotels and shop. Bus stops nearby which is handy. Nice garden with seating. Conservatory was lovely.

This cottage is perfectly situated between York and the coast with no shortage of places to visit nearby. The cottage was very comfortable and larger than we expected with a very pleasant conservatory which was perfect for a pre dinner glass of wine. It is just a minute's walk to all the town's shops and eateries.

Owner was very welcoming, cottage was very comfortable, we had everything we needed. Ideally situated within Kirbymoorside, it is very central for visiting all the lovely places in that part of the world. We would definitely love to go back.
