Basic but comfortable accommodation. We didnt use heating as warm enough. Shower pressure and hot water can be temperamental but adequate. Sailing club people very friendly. Walks good Dog facilities excellent. Access road filled with potholes so take care.

My mum and I really enjoyed the stay at The Sailing Club Bungalow. It was very clean and bright. It was warm and a good base. The only thing as youve probably heard before is the drive to the bungalow. There are a lot of pot holes and you need to be careful. At first it seemed a mammoth task but once negotiated a couple of times it was okay as longRead more as you drive very slowly. Also I was taken aback about the lack of electricity sockets. Im not sure if I saw any information about this as I had bought my hair drier etc. overall a lovely relaxing stay very quiet and we managed to see the lovely sunset a couple of times despite the weather. Lovely location, easy access to the beach and the coastal paths. Mobile signal is limited. Nice being off grid for a while. Accommodation has everything you need, its basic but clean and tidy. Very small fridge so dont bring loads of fresh stuff that needs refrigeration.

The lodge is in a lovely setting and the people we met were friendly and nice. The sailing club were kind and helpful. It would have been helpful on the advert to know that the access road to the lodge is in really bad repair and would not suit all vehicles- particularly low skirting. The lodge is very basic and is lacking any general comfort. BasiRead morec needs were met but it would have been more helpful to fully explain how off grid the property is and that there is no point in bringing anything that needs power. (Unless you can charge by usb). I would only recommend this place to a friend if they wanted to get away from busy life and be completely off grid and if they didnt mind just the basic needs being covered. Hide

The cottage is lovely and perfect for a get away from normal day to day life! Facilities are good and the accessible bathroom is handy for those with limited mobility, having the club over the road for a drink was handy. The walks around the lakes and along the coast are fabulous and there are so many lovely dog friendly pubs around with great foodRead more. I would recommend people to stay here just to note there are no sockets in the property so if youre needing to plug anything in you cant, unless its USB. Hide

I arrived very stressed after a challenging few weeks to a clean, comfortable calm space. I love the sunrises on the patio and sunsets over the Wash in the evenings. Beautiful wildlife all around, the salty sea air, a comfy bed and a very cold fridge without doubt helped me destress.
