Property code: OC-PINES

Newly registered property for 2021

Nestled amongst the ancient pine trees situated in an elevated position overlooking the sea, you will find this beautifully renovated and spacious apartment, aptly named ‘Pines’.  Once through the front door you will be wowed by the generous living space, high ceilings, original features and wonderful sea views from the lounge and kitchen dining area. This newly converted stylish apartment has a relaxed contemporary feel throughout with modern furnishings, stripped wooden floors and up to the minute kitchen appliances, yet some original features remain giving it a wonderful sense of old and new coming together.

The centerpiece of Pines is the impressive open plan light and airy kitchen and dining area.  The oak dining table with seating for eight has been perfectly placed in the huge bay window, so you can take advantage of the sea views whilst enjoying meals together, or planning the next day’s adventures. The well-equipped bespoke kitchen has plenty of space for meal preparation and all mod cons including a qooker tap, combo induction hob, two eye level ovens and an integrated microwave.  A few bar stools surround the large island unit making it the perfect spot for socialising or enjoying an aperitif with friends, before sitting down to your evening meal.  The lounge, with its large original feature fireplace, plush velvet L-shaped sofa and lovely sea views is a very welcome space to relax in after a day of exploring the beautiful coastline.

The bright dual aspect master bedroom with en-suite bathroom has distant sea views and views over the communal garden.  It too has an ornate feature fireplace with fire surround, striped wooden flooring and contemporary lighting. The king size bed has a fashionable copper effect metal bed frame and an ottoman at the end of the bed for extra storage.  The cosy twin bedroom looks over the garden and has a ‘Jack and Jill’ door to the family bathroom (which can be locked from both sides).  The modern family bathroom has a waterfall shower over the bath, WC, sink and vanity unit, heated towel rail and airing cupboard.  Just at the end of the hallway and down a flight of stairs is the third bedroom with bunk beds which kids will love!  Access to the large communal garden is from the back of the apartment and you also benefit from having your own private fenced off garden to the side of the property.  There is a useful storage area for wetsuits and boards in the basement which also houses the tumble drier, solely for guests staying at Pines.

The centre of Mortehoe village with its pubs, post office and village store is just a few minutes walk and a mile further will bring you to Woolacombe with a wider choice of pubs, cafes, shops and not forgetting its award winning surfing beach, with local surf school.  Perfect for keen walkers, the entrance to the coastal path is just a stone’s throw where you can enjoy breathtaking views across the sea to Lundy Island. Rockham Bay, a secluded beach with rock pools, Morte Point with its spectacular views and the walk to Lee Bay are all popular choices.

This quiet location offers a peaceful retreat after enjoying days on the beach, surfing the waves, walking the coastal path or exploring the picturesque coastal villages of the North Devon and Exmoor coastline. Once discovered this fantastic apartment is bound to be a firm favourite any time of year.

Stayed at the pines with family. The living space was very spacious. The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped. The separate garden was a good feature. All in all it was another great holiday in Morthoe.

The apartment was so lovely - very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and the views from the kitchen and lounge are gorgeous. It's in a great location in Mortehoe, where you can walk to two pubs, a tearoom, bistro, post office with lovely little shop, fish and chip shop and a homemade takeaway place (not open out of season). Great location for being near to beaches (but not right on them), and great for walks with the dog. Very handy campsite shop 5 minutes walk away, and 2 good pubs and chippy nearby for the essential holiday fish and chips.
