Property code: OC-ORIELL

This stunning first floor apartment is located in the heart of the historic quarter of the village, close to its small pedestrian area with award winning restaurants, cafes and independent shops and galleries.  Walkers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to easy or challenging walks and should find this a handy base for exploring Exmoor and its dramatic coastline, moorland and spectacular scenery, whilst also being convenient for the amenities of Lynton and Lynmouth.

Lynmouth with its riverside walks, harbourside pubs, restaurants and 36 hole putting green overlooking the sea is linked to Lynton by road, exhilarating footpath or the famous Victorian, water powered cliff railway. Breath-taking coast, country and riverside walks are easily accessible from the twin towns, with abundant wildlife including wild goats in the Valley of the Rocks, red deer and Exmoor ponies in the surrounding countryside. The location offers an ideal base to relax, enjoy invigorating outdoor pursuits or visit many famous beauty spots in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and enjoy magical night skies in Europe's first 'dark sky reserve'.

This newly converted apartment in what used to be The Old Globe Hotel, offers a light airy and relaxed contemporary feel throughout.  The owner has thoughtfully decorated every room with locally sourced artwork and accessories which you may be tempted to find copies of in one of the local shops or galleries. The fully fitted designer kitchen with locally sourced Granite surfaces and adjustable ambient lighting to suit your mood is the perfect place to socialise with friends for a pre-dinner drink or game of dominos (locally made of course!).  The modern glass dining table has been placed in the bay window; the perfect spot for watching the world go by.  If you can tear yourself away from people watching the sitting area offers a large TV with comfortable seating, feature fireplace and contemporary lighting.

The beautifully appointed master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and full height French door with Juliette balcony allowing fresh air and light to flood in.  There is a dressing area and stylish en-suite bathroom with vanity unit and large walk in power shower.  Bedroom 2 has a boutique feel to it with trendy wallpaper, wall lights and luxurious bedding.  It also has French doors and a glass Juliet Balcony. The separate bathroom also has a double walk in power shower and designer mirror.  With underfloor heating throughout and individual room thermostats you will feel warm and cosy at any time of the year.

There's a selection of guide books to help you plan you explore this wild and dramatic area, and for fitness enthusiasts there is a Health & Fitness studio opposite which offers private gym and yoga classes.  For those that just want to relax and indulge in a bit of culture you'll be spoiled for choice with so much on your doorstep, including the Lyn Valley Art and Craft Centre, Lyn and Exmoor Museum, galleries, gift shops, a traditional cinema - even a candlestick maker!
