Property code: OC-1SFC

Beautifully presented throughout, this deceptively spacious 3 bedroom flint and brick cottage is nestled in the popular and rural village of Bodham. The cottage is situated on the North Norfolk Coast and is within a stone’s throw of the village pub and walking distance of Sheringham Park, Kelling Heath and the North Norfolk Coastal Path. 1 Street Farm Cottage offers an ideal bolthole for families or as a couples’ getaway to North Norfolk.

On the ground floor the generous accommodation comprises of a modern and well equipped kitchen, a cosy sitting room with log burning stove and Smart TV, and a conservatory equipped with dining table and chairs making the ideal spot to make memories over a home-cooked meal. Upstairs, the three equally sized rooms are beautifully furnished to provide the perfect space to recharge those batteries after a day exploring this lovely area. There is a king size bedroom, a double room, and a twin room. The first floor is complete with family bathroom.

Nothing quite beats finishing the day off with an alfresco meal or watching the sun goes down and 1 Street Farm Cottage offers just the garden to do so in. Equipped with outside dining furniture, a charcoal barbeque, everything has been thought of here - there is even a shower attachment on the outdoor tap so you can wash off the dog after a sandy walk at the beach!

If you’re looking to explore the local area then an 8 minute drive or circa 20 minute cycle ride will have you at Weybourne beach and Sheringham. The property is also just a 12 minute drive to Cromer or 16 minutes to Blakeney. Nearby is the North Norfolk Steam Railway which runs from the elegant Georgian town of Holt (2.2 miles away) to Sheringham; steam whistles can sometimes be heard from the garden. Less than a miles gentle stroll down the country lane takes you to the delightful and popular pub the Wheatsheaf in West Beckham. Beautiful walks await and from the cottage you can walk to Weybourne via Kelling Heath and pick up the Norfolk Coastal path and then why not try the return walk via Sheringham Park. The 15th Century Baconsthorpe Castle lies in the other direction and offers up the chance for yet another delightful walk! If you enjoy a spot of golf then two prestigious golf courses await nearby, Sheringham being 3 miles away and Cromer 7 miles away.

1 Street Farm Cottage is a perfect year-round property with garden to enjoy the warmer months and a log burning stove for those cosy winter stays! There is much to explore on the doorstep, you won’t be short of something to do here!  Shop: 2.2 miles Pub: 100m Beach: 3 miles

Bodham is a lovely north Norfolk village with a good pub and just a short drive from Norfolk’s diverse coastline, beaches and pretty villages that dot this part of the coast. For traditional seaside entertainment, head for Cromer with its iconic Pier, you can pick up the Norfolk Coastal path here and there are some great walks along the clifftops. Younger members of the family will be entertained at nearby Amazona Zoo and history buffs will enjoy time at the National Trust’s Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate, which often hosts family event days throughout the year. Also run by the National Trust, Sheringham Park has acres to wander and explore; come in late spring for the spectacular rhododendrons and azaleas that flower here. There are some lovely views down to the coast too and you might spot the steam railway running along the coast line, pick up a ride from either the popular seaside town of Sheringham or the elegant, Georgian town of Holt. Both towns are worth a visit, take in a bit of culture at the Sheringham Little Theatre and enjoy local cuisine at the numerous restaurants in the town. Holt is full of independent boutique shopping, art and antique galleries, café culture, has a great food hall and some great places to eat & drink from vintage tea rooms with pretty gardens to excellent burger bars and pubs. There is a great deal to explore in the area and it will no doubt become one of those places that you want to return to time and again.

The cottage is lovely, very comfortable and very well equipped and we found it a good size - we were three adults, though we thought it might be a bit small if there were six adults. There is a sweet little garden, very peaceful and relaxing - all we heard was delightful birdsong! The Red Hart pub provided us an enjoyable evening out - delicious food, friendly and efficient staff. Bring some milk with you as there was none provided and there isn't a shop in Bodham. Hide

We had a really lovely time in this beautiful cottage. It comes equipped with everything you could possibly want (even an ice cream scoop which came in handy!) and is very clean, comfortable and spacious.
