This delightful and beautifully refurbished cottage, formed from part of the old chapel, dating back to 1834, has been very tastefully furnished with both comfort and quality in mind. With its arched windows, hand crafted kitchen and luxurious bathrooms, it is the ideal place to stay when exploring in and around the Yorkshire Dales. It is an exceptionally well-equipped cottage with lots of thoughtful extras added to make sure your stay is a memorable and comfortable one.

This property offers sumptuous and extremely well-equipped accommodation, with four beautifully appointed bedrooms, two luxurious bathrooms and a smart and cosy living room, it makes it the perfect place for families and friends to get together.

The Chapel Cottage sits in a corner of the village, commanding a prime position over the village green, with numerous walks and some fantastic cycling routes all around. If you fancy eating out, why not try the Cornmill Tearoom next door serving delicious light lunches and afternoon tea.

The village green is a great little spot to take out the chairs and picnic hamper or a bottle of wine and watch the world go by, whilst the children may prefer to head across the green to the play area.

Bainbridge, in the middle of picturesque Wensleydale, is one of the favourite villages of visitors to the Yorkshire Dales. The wide village greens, children's play area where you can enjoy a backdrop of the fells, making this one of the prettiest villages. Basic supplies are available at the small village store in Sycamore Hall whilst a variety of shops can be found just four and a half miles away in Hawes.

The market towns of Hawes and Leyburn lie at either end of Wensleydale; both hold market days where you can sample some good quality local produce, as well as the world-famous Wensleydale Cheese Factory.

GROUND FLOOR

Entrance: Entered through wood double gates and undercover entrance to front door.

Shower room: Luxurious corner shower with wash hand basin and cupboard and WC. LED bathroom mirrors with integrated speakers, USB and shaving points. 

Utility room: A useful drying room for coats and boots, with fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and iron and ironing board.

Bedroom 1 (Yarlside): With double iron bed frame, side tables, large chest of drawers and matching wardrobe. TV and patio doors opening onto the covered seating area outside.

Upstairs to the first floor:

Kitchen:  With beautiful quartz worktop and units, electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, and coffee machine.

Living/dining room:  A gorgeous room with views over the village, complete with wood burner, Smart Sky TV, DVD player, Amazon Echo and dining table and chairs.

Upstairs to the second floor:

Bedroom 2 (Lovely Seat): With a king-size bed in which you can lie back and gaze at the stars through the velux window. Bedside drawers either side, chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe.

Bedroom 3 (Bluecaster): Wood framed twin beds with matching bedside drawers, chest of drawers and a recessed hanging space for all your clothes.

Bedroom 4 (Little Fell): Wood framed single bed, chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe space.

Bathroom: Another beautiful room with shower over double-ended bath, toilet, heated towel rail, Velux window and tiled floor. LED bathroom mirrors with integrated speakers, USB and shaving points. 

Pets: 1 well behaved dog welcome

Parking: Space outside the property for one car. Please note that there is an EV charging point at the property, if you wish to use this facility you will need to download an app to purchase the electricity via debit/credit card. You will also need your own charging cable.

Heating: Oil central heating and wood burning stove. A welcome pack of logs provided, further supplies can be purchased in Leyburn or Hawes.

Short Breaks: Accepted all year round.

Lovely peaceful location, cottage well equipped however downstairs bedroom very odorous (foisty smell) Would have loved to use this room with patio doors and great view. Nice thoughtful welcome pack, wine was lovely. Didn't have chance to use wood burner due to heatwave.

Cottage is in a very quiet location -nearby to most interesting places to visit- the nearest restaurants in Hawes stopped serving after 8pm except for one.- Sorry cannot remember the name. Beds are comfortable -We did not need to use the washing machine etc. Central heating can be controlled in each room which is great. Hot water is controlled andRead more comes on at 7.00 to 9.00 am and 5.00 to 8.00 pm. Hide

We had a wonderful holiday in the lovely Chapel Cottage in the quiet village of Bainbridge. A perfect place for a family holiday.
