Rhosferig Lodge is located at the end of a one mile private drive, on Rhosferig Estate, on the banks of the River Wye, with farm land either side. The lodge is elegant and stylish, with amazing riverside views from most of the rooms, especially the master bedroom which opens onto a large balcony where you can relax and enjoy your beautiful surroundings. Well-equipped with modern furnishings as well as a traditional aga, a welcoming log burner in the spacious, comfortable drawing room, and a games room with a 3/4 size Snooker table and the most magnificent views. A smart, well-cared for, enclosed garden with wonderful views of the River Wye, features a built in charcoal barbecue and luxury furniture, making it perfect for al fresco dining, and is safe for children and dogs.

The Lodge is located approximately 2 miles from the small town of Builth Wells, with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes, including the locals’ favourite cafe, the timber-windowed Cosy Corner, for some old-fashioned restorative cawl or bara brith. Some great eating options can be found a little further afield, including The Griffin at Felin Fach and The Greyhound at Aberedw. The Wye Valley Walk is right on your doorstep and the Brecon Beacons National Park is just 25 minutes away, great for walking and cycling. Builth Wells Golf Club is just along the road and although fishing is not permitted on the Estate, day tickets are available to nearby private beats. For a relaxing drive and to enjoy stunning views, take the drive upto Elan Valley Lakes, including Aberystwyth mountain road.

A fantastic, spacious yet cosy lodge, perfectly quiet (apart from the owls and the river) far away from every day life but only 10 minutes drive from the town, this place is highly recommended for a "get away from it all" stay.

One of the loveliest places weve stayed. The pictures definitely dont do it justice. There is nothing to see or hear apart from countryside, animals and birds. Ideal place to completely switch off.

A lot to recommend this property: so very peaceful, views outstanding, feel like you have the river all to yourself, so much wildlife, dark skies at night, house much better than in photos and (spacious and very comfortable), amazing walks on the doorstep, ten minute drive to shops, supermarket, cafes and pubs. Not many amazing restaurants or shoRead moreps in the area, but plenty of nice cafes (Lakeside Cafe Llandidrod Wells, Cafe Cwtch in Builth). For days out we went to Haye-on-Wye (vintage, antiques, bookshops, good eateries), climbed Pen Y Fan, sunned ourselves in Aberystwyth (amazing choice of restaurants and lots to do) and paddle boarding in Llandidrod. The Zip World climbing tower was great for our teenagers. Hide

The description and photos really do not do the lodge justice. It is superbly comfortable, location could not be better if you want peace and quiet, but it is close enough to see the many sights of this beautiful part of Wales

We are a family of 5 adults and our dog stayed at this beautiful lodge with a wonderful outlook over the river. Plenty of red kites were spotted in the mornings having breakfast under the canopy. The birdsong and gentle mooing of the nearby cows were the only sounds we could hear. Being away from the traffic was bliss. The lodge had everything we nRead moreeeded. Good quality bedding and soft towels. Several hours were spent around the pool table after a busy day of sight seeing and an enjoyable break was had by all. Hide
