Property code: OC-P00859

This substantial seaside holiday villa, set on the hillside with commanding views over Praa Sands Beach, is perfectly located for family holidays on the coast as well as for walkers wanting to explore the South West Coast Path directly from your front door. The glistening, white, expanse of sand backed by dunes is a delight and there is so much room to spread out, you'll be able to find your own quiet spot to enjoy. With a little path accessible down to the beach just outside the house, you can pack up your picnic and beach equipment leaving your car behind. This rugged corner of the south coast is very unspoiled and from here you can take day trips out to explore the Lizard Peninsula or pop to the north coast parking at St Erth and catch the train to St Ives.

Uplands is found slightly off the beaten track along a private lane and set across two levels with most rooms benefitting from far-reaching sea views. Open your windows and listen to the sound of the waves crashing on the shoreline. Enjoy a sundowner on the deck watching the sunset or on those stormy days, the sun room is the perfect spot to weather watch. Decorated in coastal hues and offering three bedrooms, two shower rooms, parking for two cars and two woodburners to provide that out-of-season comfort and cosiness, it's the perfect place all year round. The temperate climate in this part of Cornwall allows exotic plants to flourish and the seaside garden planting is a reflection of this.

Please note there are a large number of steps up to the property, and as such, the property is not suitable for someone with mobility issues.

Great stay and good size for 5 of us and 2 dogs. Made a great Christmas for my mum and sister who travelled down conservatory us as our bungalow in Breage is too small to host. Fantastic to look out to sea. Would like to stay again if there are a few of us again.

It was lovely to have the scones, cream & jam as well as coffee and tea welcoming us. We had travelled a long way and our online shop wasnt delivered for a few hours, so this was very welcome. The kitchen starter pack was also appreciated. The property has a great location with beautiful views from almost every room. The property has all the basicRead mores and was clean. The beds and bedding were a lovely fresh clean white as were the towels. The walk to the beach was very pleasant and we found Praa Sands a great base for beach walks, coastal walks and driving to explore Mousehole, St Ives and Porthleven (think I spelt all those right?) and many more places. The garden is very steep both front and back (hence the beautiful views). But the steps are well made and we had no problems. Hide

There needs to be some bowls, for mixing in the kitchen, and the chairs in the sitting room far too low to use without help getting out! The house is Not good for elderly people, and this should be made plain. The views are sensational though! and loved the new carpeting throughout. Would recommend to younger friends.

We absolutely loved our week at Uplands. What a location. the views and the constant sound of the waves were mesmerising. Gorgeous house which was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The sun room was very well used when the weather didnt permit sitting outside. We will definitely return. Thank you!

The cottage had a very good first impression having driven a long way on a wet day. It was comfortable and well equipped and inviting to spend a week on holiday. All the rooms have stunning views of the beach which is only a short walk away. The local shop was friendly and stocked with essentials, and we also hired boards and kayaks at a reasonableRead more cost from the knowledgeable and friendly hire centre. We enjoyed the coast path both East and West from the cottage. We had some meals out but also cooked a few times in the well equipped kitchen and enjoyed eating looking over the beach. The downstairs shower is useful from coming back wet from the beach. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The car parking space is tight for 2 cars - we had a Fiesta and a Kuga. 2 large cars would not fit, or have space to turn around if next door also had 2 cars. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend. Hide
