The cottage was in an ideal location with plenty of living space. They do need to put curtains in the back bedrooms that block out light.

We had a fantastic weeks stay in 'Lamorna'. The living space was stunning. It was beautifully done and well equipped for our family of 6 with 3 adult aged and 1 teenage son. The location was perfect for us to walk 10 minutes down the hill to the beautiful Carbis Bay, or 30-40 minutes to other beaches around St Ives, which in the perfect sunshine rRead moreivalled the beaches of the Caribbean. House was beautiful - lovely clean and tidy - very spacious. Rooms were all lovely. This is such a beautiful home. Please note we loved the property and the area. Would highly recommend an stay again in a heartbeat. Nothing negative from us ;-) It honestly was amazing - thankyou. Look forward to returning again next year!

Overall location was very good, if cleanliness was up to scratch could understand the 5pm check in, also wouldnt say parking was suitable for 4 cars and there is cameras in back and front which wasnt disclosed in description of property when booking. This house is amazing and fully equipped with absolutely everything you need. The cleanliness really needs improvements, stains on furniture, dirty bathrooms it really lets it down. Check in time is very late too, wouldnt mind as much if the cleanliness was up to standard. We had a lovely stay with this aside. Recommend train/bus in to St Ives and Read morePorthkidney Beach, very quiet and dog friendly all year round! The Cornish Arms has quiz night on a Wednesday, very popular as you need to book! We had a fantastic week in this property, even though the weather was mixed. There is everything you need and more , every cooking untensil/equipment including 2 ovens which were well used by us. Lots of fridge space for the odd bottle of Prosecco and beers. Utility area is excellent including plenty of space to store outside toys for the childreRead moren. We stayed here based on all the positive reviews. The upstairs living and kitchen area are 5 stars and the balcony are fabulous . It also has a lovely outdoor area despite having no Bbq which seemed strange. There is also a bus stop outside the door that takes you directly into St ives. However what lets it down is the downstairs sleeping area Read more which need some TLC . Some bedrooms have no shutters or blackouts blinds just a thin net curtain which make it difficult for families with young children to block out the light. If the same investment was put in the downstairs area as the upstairs this would be a 5 star property and worth staying again. Hide

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Lamorna. The accommodation was extremely clean when we arrived and the complimentary biscuits were a lovely touch. The kitchen was well equipped for home cooking and the main living area was a great space for the family to relax and spend time together. We loved coffee in the mornings on the balcony and the teenagersRead more enjoyed relaxing on the outdoor garden furniture. The beach at Porthkidney was perfect for dog walks any time of day and we loved the relaxed Beach Club restaurant on Carbis Bay beach. We loved our stay at Lamorna. The Cornwall weather was very kind to us, allowing us to make full use of the garden area. The location is great, the space is ample, and the decor is lovely. The view is stunning, especially as the sunset hits just right from the balcony. My husband was thrilled to have Sky for watching football and golf.

Well equipped, comfortable for 8 people, lovely open space upstairs with views. Comfy beds and seating. All mod cons. Only comment would be to improve cleanliness; do a deep clean between lettings. Also mend shower in an en suite as one of our party got stuck in the shower when the door jammed.

Lovely property close to beach although very steep hill to climb. Near to bus stop and train station. Shops pubs restaurants nearby. Really enjoyed our holiday.

Lovely spacious and luxurious accommodation well equipped and located. Property was generally clean but could have been more thoroughly cleaned before arrival... For example, couches needed vaccummed as well as outside spaces swept and cleaned. Booked house to celebrate my 60th birthday. It has everything you need for a family stay. The cooker hob though was a bit tricky to operate and couldn't find instructions. The cleanliness was not acceptable. We shuffled a few things around on arrival and had to hover immediately. The ground floors was just filthy. There was also chewing gum stuck to a mirror. Two of the ensuite bathroom door handles was defective. A member of our group got locked into one of them and we had to remove the handles to turn the bar to Read morelet them out. The hob is really temperamental and just would not turn on at times and also just turned off on numerous occasions for no reason. The location is amazing with a bus stop outside the door giving access to all surrounding areas. Carbis beach is just down the hill. The open plan living area is a great space, as is the outdoor area. It would benefit with the addition of a BBQ. Overall, mixed feelings due to the defects and cleanliness issues but the location and living areas were great. Hide

Stunning house in a perfect location. Close to St Ives and on a fab bus route all over. Weather has been amazing all week. Beaches stunning ( quite a walk back up) train was fab too. Inside of the property was immaculate but disappointed with the outside areas as the balcony was dirty, patio area needed sweeping and cleaning not what you would expect for guests arriving looked like it had been forgotten and the rear fences needed repairing or replacing. Other than these minor issues the property was excellent.
