If you are looking for a seaside holiday in Dorset, Marine Approach is the perfect place to stay - just minutes from the front door to Swanage beach there is plenty to see and do whatever the season. This fabulous ground floor apartment is light and airy and benefits from three large double bedrooms, the main king size bedroom has its own ensuite W.C and wash hand basin, while the two other bedrooms have shared use of the modern family bathroom. The bathroom features a freestanding bath, along with shower cubicle and a modern, stylish finish. 

The open plan kitchen, dining room is further along the hallway with a well equipped gloss kitchen and dining table with seating for 6. Just over the hallway is the large living room, a lovely light and airy room with high ceilings and a feature bay window where you can relax and watch the world go by.

Swanage is a fantastic holiday destination with plenty to see and do, hop on the steam train in the summer months to the historic ruin Corfe Castle, or enjoy a picnic at Durlston Country Park overlooking the chalky cliffs at Studland. You can even spend the day in the Victorian town itself, with plenty of coffee shops, independent gift shops and the traditional seaside fare of fish and chips all on offer!

On our second day a plumber had to visit because the previous tenants had blocked the en suite. It might have been ok if we were out but we had a baby that needed napping. The plumber was very considerate but it was a long job and all the windows needed to be opened because of the smell. At first the homeowner was pleasant and agreed to arranging sRead moreome compensation but when we got home we had a mail from her accusing us of leaving the place in a state and that extra cleaning was required. She even accused us of breaking a toilet brush, of all things. We had cleaned for over two hours and although we hadnt broken the brush if we had it would have been covered under our non refundable breakages deposit. She cited crumbs on the floor and fingerprints as requiring additional cleaning time. Does she employ her cleaner for one minute? Even 15 mins would have sorted everything. Have a no children policy if this a problem She was just trying to avoid any compensation. We are a respectful family who have been renting holiday homes in Swanage for more than three decades and never had any problems. All left a very nasty taste, so although we liked the location and DVD collection and board games, we would never stay there again. I was also not happy that she contacted me direct rather than through the letting agency. It all felt a little unhinged, so am now concerned she might harass me for the negative review. The en suite toilet basically had a sign saying only use for a wee. Truly bizarre. With a four year old you never know quite what is coming, so we didnt use that bathroom even though we were banking on having more than one bathroom.I have registered a complaint with holidaycottqges.co.uk. If you are child free and OCD on cleaning I would recommend but not otherwise. Hide

We have stayed at Marine Approach for the past 3 years and always enjoyed our holiday there. It is so convenient for the beaches we love. There isbeberything you need in the accommodation for a lovely stay. So sorry the Apartment is for sale as would have hopefully returned next year withvthevfamily.
