Eta Cottage is a traditional stone cottage which sleeps 4 and is the epitome of the Dales area, if you are looking to stay in a cottage which is everything you would expect from this beautiful area, Eta Cottage is for you. It is situated right in the middle of the delightful Dales village of Kettlewell famous for its walking trails, stunning scenery, fabulous pubs, only steps away, serving delicious food (one with a pretty riverside garden) and for the really energetic miles and miles of cycling. Skipton is close by and Hawes is a few miles drive away with its local shops and cafes and is perfect to experience all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. Kettlewell has lots of “On the river “, activities and is great for doggies who love to swim. Fine dining at the Kings Head, ( no dogs allowed), is a must or enjoy the cafes serving pots of tea and scones, hot breakfast rolls and even a Charcuterie or indulge in a visit to the ice cream parlour with seating.
You can’t stay in this area without a visit to the Wensleydale creamery of Wallace and Gromit fame, watch cheese being made and taste an authentic Wensleydale. Further afield you will find many villages all with their own traditions. The Dales is also home of the Three Peaks walk if you are of an energetic nature or follow the Tour De Yorkshire route and cycle around the hills and valleys whilst marvelling at some of the most stunning views you will ever see. Winter or summer there is so much to do here, with local artisans producing a vast array of products including woollen goods from our famous sheep, look out for the Herdy company and for the foodies try all that Yorkshire has to offer, you won’t be disappointed.

GROUND FLOOR:
Entrance hallway: This is a really useful area which has a vinyl floor and dog tails styled as coat hooks, a basket with dog towels and a shoe rack. The cupboard housing the ironing board and vacuum is here.
Bedroom 1: A lovely light and pretty room with a window looking out over the front lane and getting the morning sunlight, the deep window seats means you can bathe in the warm sunlight before beginning a day of adventure in the Dales. There is a super king-sized bed which on request can be made into singles, a large wardrobe and matching bedside table and dressing table and lamps.
Ensuite shower room: A walk in shower, heated towel rail, basin and toilet complete this room.
Bedroom 2: Another pretty double room decorated in a bright and cheerful style, so perfect for this gorgeous cottage. Built in wardrobe and a large window which makes this a super sunny room.
Bathroom: A bathroom with bath and shower over, so perfect for soaking those aching limbs after a day being challenged by the Three Peaks! Or just some me time. There is white sanitary ware and a basin with useful shelf for storage.

FIRST FLOOR:
Living Room/Dining room: This room is in a perfect position to take advantage of the views of the lane from the large window with deep window seat. There are plenty of local cottages in traditional Dales stone and the green hills beyond. Eta Cottage is a traditional Dales cottage but with a distinct contemporary twist and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. A wood burner makes this a cosy room summer or winter, visit at any time of the year and you will find a warm and cosy welcome. The room has a comfy sofa with integrated reclining footstools and USB points with two armchairs there is plenty of room to rest after a day in the hills or some local retail therapy. Matching decorative nest of tables completes the country cottage ambiance. There is a table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy the company of family and friends or for you to sit and watch the cook whip up a delicious meal from local produce, why not use some Wensleydale cheese after a visit to the creamery, now that should get your mouth watering ! A super room to sit and relax.
Kitchen: The kitchen is located at the side of the living dining room. It is a lovely blue colour which adds to the cottage feel. The kitchen is well equipped and contemporary. There is a double electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/ freezer and dishwasher. Wall shelving displays decorative items and crockery.
Outside: To the front of the property there is a small patio, this is a super place to enjoy an alfresco dinner, glass of something fizzy or just a relaxing morning coffee. If you look up and down the lane you will see the lovely old stone walls of the local cottages and a stunning view of the hills beyond.
