The bustling and charming high street of Aldeburgh is just a 15-minute stroll away (where you can get those all-important fish ‘n’ chips), whilst two supermarkets are just a 2-minute drive away.

Poplars has been completely rebuilt into a stunning, modern holiday home which can sleep up to 10 guests in 5 luxurious bedrooms. This impressive, self-catering holiday home has been beautifully furnished to create a truly spacious and stylish property ideal for bringing your whole family or group of friends together. At the heart of the home is a super sociable space; one of the many very special features of this house. A large open plan space unites the kitchen, sitting and dining room to create the perfect space for families and friends to come together. All ages are sure to love it here!

With some ground floor bedrooms and facilities, Poplars offer a unique escape to the Suffolk Coast. There is a sloped entrance to the front door to allow for wheelchair access and the ground floor is all on one level. There is also ample parking for up to 4 cars. The generous garden is perfectly private and offers a great space for guests to relax in.

Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends. Just three miles away from this location is the magical Suffolk coastal village of Thorpeness. Thorpeness was created in the 1920s by Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie, an architect, barrister and playwright. Amenities in Thorpeness itself include the Dolphin Inn pub; The Kitchen Cafe; Thorpeness Hotel and Country Club with tennis courts; a superb 18-hole golf course, extensive sports field and the Meare - a large shallow boating lake with tearooms nearby. There are miles of mainly sandy beaches to explore, as well as a myriad of gorgeous footpaths through forests, fields and across the heath.

We had a brilliant stay at this cottage. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious. There was ample parking and it was in a quiet location. The town and sea were a short walk away. Aldeburgh is a delightful place to stay.

Lovely property and well equipped. Its 15 mins to beach through smart caravan/lodge park, then another 5 mins to centre of town. In fact this is a virtue as avoids the crowds and nocturnal seagull noise .

Lovely cottage in a great position, 15 minute walk to shingle beach. Was disappointed that the swing that was shown in the photos was not there, as my 17 month old grandson would have loved it.

Excellent location, stunning uninterrupted views across the countryside from the main bedroom. Everything was supplied in the property which enhanced our stay. Excellent communication and support from the owner, made us extremely welcome.

This lovely house is in a quiet spot very near to the beach and a pleasant walk into the town. There is plenty of space for a large group of family and friends. The wifi links are excellent.

A lovely big house which was ideal for a family gathering of multi generations. Plenty of off road parking which was very useful. A pleasant walk through the adjacent mobile home park to the beach and on the footpath walk to Thorpeness. The horses in the field were a big attraction for the children.
