Seafarer is a lovely, family friendly holiday home right by the sea. The terraced townhouse benefits from panoramic views of the crystal blue sea that surrounds the area, with far reaching views right across to Portland and Chesil Beach. The property is arranged over three floors, with the modern and well equipped kitchen on the ground floor, along with conservatory and enclosed garden at the rear. The dining room is at the front of the house and benefits from stunning sea views framed by the window.

On the first floor is a cosy living room, with flat screen TV, comfortable seating and large patio doors that open out to a wooden balcony with stunning sea views. You will also find a handy W.C. on this floor and a double bedroom with plenty of storage.

The en-suite master bedroom is located on the second floor, with far reaching sea views and en-suite shower room. The family bathroom is located just across the hallway next to a bedroom with a set of bunk beds for children. 

The property overlooks Smallmouth Bay, a lovely shallow water beach perfect for families just steps from the front door. There is plenty to see and do to keep the family entertained nearby - you can walk or cycle to Portland where you can enjoy paddleboard and watersport tuition at the sailing academy. Chesil Beach is just under half a mile away and stretches 18 miles along to West Bay, the home of the Jurassic Coast. The seaside town of Weymouth is only a short drive or bus journey away too, with amusement arcades, sandy beach and historic harbour side - a perfect spot for a fish and chip supper!

Superficially the house looked clean but once the item began to be used it was disgusting. The bath pug hole was full of hair I had to use tweezer to remove it then the bath tape were so slow there was no pressure so I decided to have a shower and the ensuite shower was so moldy and disgusting I had to clean the shower head before use but still bitRead mores kept coming off how would you feel if you had to use it for 6 nights. I had to clean the toaster before I used it, all the mugs and teaspoons were stained and dirty I was so glad I had brough my own mug. There was crumbs and dirt under the sofa cushions. behind the radiators the was thick dirt that obviously had not been cleaned. All the sink plugs were filthy. In places it it need serious decoration. In the kitchen everything was sticky. Whoever is your clean need sacking. Also so much dirt behind and under the beds. I stayed 5 night and left. Hide

This is a comfortable modern house in a lovely setting and is the perfect location for a family house in Dorset.

What a spectacular view from this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks holiday here. Very comfy beds and the car parking space was a bonus. The bus stops were close by. The couple who live next door (who I understand are the owners parents) were lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay at Seafarer. Its location, overlooking Smallmouth Bay, and out towards Portland Bill is special, dramatic even at times when the sun is setting, or the storm clouds are gathering! We wouldRead more recommend a walk along the Chesil road to the Chesil beach nature reserve, which also has a good cafe. There is an easily accessible bus service into Weymouth town, and plenty of interest with the harbour, esplanade, sea front and shops. Further afield, Abbotsbury gardens, and "Sculpture by the lakes" are well worth visiting. Hide

Lovely location, very clean and well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Disappointing, however, to find that the heating is externally controlled and you're only allowed heating for 3 hours morning and evening and only to 18 degrees. I can understand it in the Summer to a degree but not in October when there's a storm forecast. We chose this property mainly for its excellent location despite the high price. However, on arrival there were a number of disappointments. No welcome pack, the ground floor TV was out of action, the king-size bed mattress on the second floor was so noisy we had to use the double bed on the lower floor. We had reason to dispute the TV not working Read moreas it is shown on the property photos and we assumed it worked but the owners refused to repair it. We did look at contesting the owners decision but be warned she is based in the Channel Islands making any legal action difficult. Locking of the rear garden exit door on security grounds leading to the garage was annoying. In the end, we believe the property's dated condition does not warrant the high price being charged and would never return Hide
