The area:
Walberswick is a stunning coastal village with plenty to offer for a short break or holiday. The village shop is less than a five minute walk from The Dairy and the beach is around 15 minutes' walk. When exploring the village, short cuts can be discovered through the back lanes which take you past ponies, cows and sheep in the fields. Just a short walk away are two children's playgrounds - at the end of Church Lane at the top of the village and on the village green. There are also gift shops, two tea rooms and two excellent pubs.
Southwold is an easy walk or bike ride away over the Bailey Bridge or by the rowing boat ferry which operates between Easter and the end of October. All along the coast are pretty villages and towns to explore and visitors will find a wealth of attractions such as Africa Alive, Southwold Pier and Framlingham Castle. The region has regular farmers markets, craft markets and art exhibitions with events throughout the year encompassing music, theatre, gardens and walks.
Please note: Internet connection in Walberswick can be very slow.
