Christmas Cottage is located beautifully within the heart of the exclusive village of Helford, regarded by many as one of the most idyllic locations in Cornwall. Offering character two bedroomed accommodation, this former fisherman’s cottage has been comprehensively renovated and benefits from both front and rear gardens as well as the very rare feature of private parking for two vehicles directly in front of the house.  

Retaining many of its original features, which include characterful beams, a walk-in Inglenook fireplace in the dining room, an open fire in the lounge and a traditional carved Cornish porch, Christmas Cottage is a delight.

This is perfect walking territory, so picturesque and tranquil in a very well-preserved corner of Cornwall. There’s a fantastic local village pub which is a must and the magical Lizard Peninsula is easily explorable from here. Be sure to bring your camera as you’ll have plenty of opportunity for photography here.

Dining Room: Large inglenook fireplace with wood burner, window seat, dining table for 6
Kitchen: Electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave

Bedroom 1: King size bed (5’), bedside units, wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3’), desk, wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Bathroom: Rolltop, claw-foot bath with hand-held mixer shower, basin, WC

GARDEN & PARKING: A quay-side garden with views of the famous Helford footbridge and the creek beyond, with garden furniture. Garden furniture at the upper garden at the back accessible via steps from the kitchen with fabulous views across the village. Private parking space for 2 cars opposite the cottage.


Baby Equipment: Stairgate provided. No other equipment provided.
Power and Heat: Electricity included; electric heating. Woodburner in dining room.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

The location in Helford is the star of the show with numerous lovely local walks. Shipwrights pub is great for beer and superb views (but menu more appropriate for Wetherspoons!). Ideally situated in the gorgeous village of Helford, Christmas Cottage has the advantage of two outside spaces to enjoy. The 'Crows Nest' behind was a great space to come back to after a day walking and exploring. We have stayed in 3 cottages in Helford over the years and Christmas Cottage was ideal being tucked away yet still amongst everything. IRead moret is our favourite place in Cornwall to stay. We had a fantastic week staying in Christmas cottage. As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home. The cottage was warm and cosy with so much character. It was a joy to while away the mornings before we explored the local area and an even bigger joy to return to in the evening. We are already planning to return for a winter break,

Wonderfully located cosy property with great walks from the doorstep and dark starlit skies at night .We enjoyed taking the ferry to Glendurgan gardens where there is a delightfully tricky maze and a nice cafe . We also enjoyed The walks to St . Anthony and Frenchmans Creek and on a rainy day the museum in Helston .
