There's everything from windsurfing to paddle boarding. Just a 5 minute walk away and you'll be enjoying views of the River Stour Estuary providing you with beaches, boating and birdwatching. The network of footpaths surrounding the property mean there's plenty of exploring to be done so you won't be short of something to do here - you can enjoy walks along not one but two rivers; both the River Stour and the Orwell walk too. If cycling is more your thing, then there are local off-road cycle routes to explore and the Alton Water circular route nearby. Alton Water Cycle Centre offer bike hire and have further off road routes. There are seven local pubs, many within a 10 minute drive ... there truly is lots to pack into your stay here. Holbrook is a lively village on the north shore of the Stour Estuary and is the perfect spot to explore this charming part of the county. This area of Suffolk has a great variety of footpaths, bridleways and is situated within Suffolk Coast and Heaths which is an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Placed on the edge of Constable Country (Flatford Mill/Dedham only 15 mins drive), the whole area is the perfect spot for cycling, walking, bird watching and of course painting! Alton Water reservoir also offers great opportunities for sailing and canoeing and is only 5 minutes drive away and some parts of the reservoir are only 5 minutes walk from the property. The village shops (open till late), tea rooms and doctors surgery plus you are a short drive from the awarding winning Suffolk Food Hall and the famous Jimmy's Farm as seen on TV!
