Although we had a lovely week in Wales we were disappointed by the accommodation. The floor in the kitchen had been mopped but with dirty water as it had dried with streaky marks. The bedding had not been put on the beds, specifically pillows, properly which meant I had to do this prior to the kids sleeping in them and the upper bunks bottom sheetRead more in the smaller room was dirty / stained. The cottage was covered in thick cobwebs which were not the usual just developed but more that they had been there a while with lots of spiders which I also cleaned on the first day we arrived. The cottage appeared tired and had clearly not been looked after by previous guests as most rooms had stains on carpets and damage to walls and kitchen cupboards etc. The fridge door has lost its storage which meant room in the fridge was limited to the shelves only and for a cottage which sleeps 8 was not adequate. There was no guest book / folder containing user manuals for appliances or wifi which meant some guesswork on our part. Crockery was chipped and made up of odds and sods. The cottage has such potential to be really beautiful and whether its down to previous guests treating it poorly or the substandard effort of cleaning it unfortunately didnt live up to our expectations nor the price we paid for the week. We stay in Wales, specifically Abersoch or Llanbedrog every year as the location is simply beautiful. This year we paid more for what the pictures painted as a superior property. We were disappointed Im afraid. Hide

We had a lovely holiday overall, thanks to the cottages stunning location and beautiful views. Its a peaceful spot and perfectly positioned for exploring the area. However, we did feel the standard of cleanliness was below what we would expect. There were some issues that meant we had to do a little cleaning ourselves on arrival, which was disapRead morepointing. The property is full of potential and in a fantastic setting, but it would really benefit from more thorough cleaning and some general maintenance. Despite this, we still enjoyed our stay because the location is truly wonderful. Hide
