Property code: OC-HH384

Ty Hyfryd is a deceptively large, pet friendly family home on Plunch Lane in Thistleboon, a popular residential area of Mumbles lying between the beaches of Langland and Limeslade. Ty Hyfryd means beautiful house and whilst this is true it certainly also is a  spacious family holiday home.

Sleeping 11, the property caters well for children thanks to a fun kids' bunk room, but with a maximum of 7 adults. There are 4 further bedrooms, one providing ease of access on the ground floor, with 3 bathrooms in the house, plus one garage ‘wet room’, perfect when returning from the beach. As well as two sitting rooms, an open kitchen and dining area, and a practical back garden and sun deck, there’s also an EV charging point accessed from the large front parking area.

It offers a family or large group a combination of fun and function with the option to walk in either direction to reach the rocky bays of Limeslade and Bracelet, great for rock-pooling and on to the Pier at Mumbles Head, or around the coastal path to the sandy delights of Rotherslade and Langland.

A giant playground is a stone's throw away, not to forget the Castellamare restaurant, pizza cafe and ice cream parlour with another little gem of a cafe, Fortes, even closer. For more restaurants, shops, pubs and galleries, its less than a mile to the seafront area at Mumbles Village and on a sunny Sunday afternoon, there’s always Mumbles Cricket Club, just 50 metres up the road, where you can enjoy a cold drink from the bar while enjoying the thump of willow on leather.

We had a lovely stay with my father, sister, and her family. The cottage is extremely well equipped and has lots of space for everyone to relax. The location is perfect: just a short walk from the beach and walks round the headland or over the top of the hill into the Mumbles. David was very helpful with suggestions and responsive to queries.

This property was in a lovely area and was very clean and very well equipped. It is on a hill so may be challenging for some walking in and out of mumbles; there was a lovely coastal route (via many nice pubs and restaurants) into Mumbles or a short more direct route down to the town which was slightly more challenging on the way back! There is alsRead moreo a bus service right outside the house and taxi services in town (one of our party struggles with walking so she sometimes used these to get back up the hill!) The owners and the agent were very helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out shortly after arrival (the door locks on closure so dont leave the keys inside!) The property was fabulous- clean, really well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, nice quiet location and lovely decking area for a bbq. Would highly recommend this property and we have had a fabulous family holiday! Hide

Roomy property for family holidays. Well equipped kitchen and the parking space is a great as parking in Mumbles itself is always difficult. However one needs to be fairly fit to manage the hills .

The location is excellent for the immediate area and there is so much to see within a few miles. The centre of Mumbles is within easy walking distance, thus avoiding the need to find a parking space. The house itself is excellently equipped and is ideal for the whole family, easily sleeping 7 adults and 4 children. We are very pleased.

The house was clean and very well equipped, however it is situated up a long hill and this should be stated in the information. I managed it, but found it hard work. Older people or wheelchair users need to know these things!
