We arrived at the cottage during Storm Bert and it was a little cold as there was no heating on. We lit the fire and put the heaters on and it was soon cosy. The Cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, and it feels like you are staying in a home rather than a holiday rental. We didn't use the garden due to the weather, but it is a lovely sRead moreelf enclosed space with ample seating. The area is a walker's paradise and we didn't use the car throughout our stay. The pub was open all week and the Community Shop every day apart from Sunday, so we were well served with everything we needed. A tip for unloading your car - if you park temporarily at the top of the track when unloading, it's a downhill walk to the cottage. And if you car is at the bottom of the track at the end of the holiday, its also a downhill walk. Hide

There was a bat in the kitchen when we arrived which we magaged to evict without harming it. Apart from that and my comments above we thought it was a lovely cottage and very comfortable. We had a very enjoyable week.

Only stayed a week but enjoyed our time - all those living in the cottages around were very friendly. Lovely property and an amazing location. Very well appointed. Much easier to park at the bottom of the road than attempting to drive and up turn.

We absolutely loved our stay at Glenview. Felt at home and found it so relaxing, we didn't want to leave! Comfy beds and fantastic location. Ate at the local pub (the Britannia Inn) twice during our stay, walked miles from the front door.

lovely cottage in a beautiful village, with stunning views from the garden, however we thought the cottage was in need of a deep clean. A small car defiantly needed. We would not return only because we like to go to different places. Hide

The blurb said the lane leading to the property was only suitable for a small car. I regard the car we used as small however we couldnt get it up the lane, it would have been much more useful to give a measurement for maximum width of a car as small is subjective! Carrying luggage up a steep hill at the beginning of the holiday is no fun. There wasnRead moret even space to park on frog lane. Also there was too much owners stuff in the everywhere, it could be stored in the shed in the garden. Hide

We have stayed at Glenview three times and have seen some unfortunate declines in the property since last year. The property requires a deep clean , there are some areas that need a good clean, windows, doors, casements and shower tiles. In the two bedrooms the ceiling needs attention, cleaning and painting. The walls in the main bedroom are showRead moreing signs of mould with the front/left corner showing black mould. There is some around the bedroom window too. We love this property and feel sad to see this decline. We did contact the cleaning company and send photographs to show the problems. Hide
