Trimingham is a rural coastal village located along the North Norfolk coast, an excellent location for a seaside holiday and to escape the hustle and bustle. The village of Mundesley is a 5-minute drive away with a good range of shops, pubs, restaurants and a sandy, Blue Flag beach. Bacton Wood is perfect for a day out with nature, whether you are on foot or cycle; there are various trails to choose from. There is plenty to discover in the area - to the east find Cromer and its iconic Pier, zoo and cinema; Sheringham with the North Norfolk steam railway and its Little Theatre, or Blakeney where you can enjoy a spot of crab catching from the quayside. To the west find the famously striped Happisburgh lighthouse and the local seal colony at Horsey Beach; visit over the winter and you will see seal pups too. Inland, The Broads National Park with 125 miles of waterways to discover is within easy reach; with boat hire, water sports, fishing (subject to licence) and cycle hire all available. Culture vultures will enjoy a trip to Norwich, which is less than an hour away and makes a great day out.

The cottage was very well equipped, ideally situated to explore Norfolk. A lovely large enclosed garden that was safe for our 2 dogs and our 2 small grandchildren. The added play room was well used by us all.

Dissappointed with this property. From the pictures we were expecting a home from home but what we got was somewhere that needs some tlc. Lots of little bits that need attention making it all feel just a bit tired and dated. Cleaning was poor. Lovely spacious holiday home with everything for a great self-catering holiday. Close to wonderful cliff top walks, villages and beaches. The enclosed garden was excellent for the dogs.

Impressive detached house in quiet village with lots of parking however some attention to detail needed with cleanliness. Lots of thick dust, cobwebs and spiders make the house feel dirtier than it is. Just needs a good hoover and cleaners to look up and move things when cleaning. It felt like it had been empty for a while. Bed lining and towels hRead moreowever were immaculate and smelt very fresh. No pillow case protectors though. Some fixtures and fittings need replacing (broken kitchen cupboard, panel behind toilet in ensuite keeps falling open when toilet brush is moved, open light fitting above shower, exposed wires in twin room on light fitting) lightbulbs needed replacing as they didn't work on arrival (outside light above back door, lamp in dining room, wall light in living room), broken guttering above conservatory and exposed wires in ceiling light in twin room. House is spacious and nicely decorated with a lovely big garden. The garden is not secure for small dogs as wire fencing behind trees at the bottom has large gaps. Seating area under gazebo couldn't be used as very overgrown and unkept with dirty furniture. Location is good for exploring Norfolk by car. Disappointed that the sea can't be seen like the picture shows as it makes it feel as though the sea will be at the bottom of the garden which it is not. A large farmed field and copse of trees are in-between. Came home late one evening to find glass in conservatory door shattered. Some investigating the next day lead us to believe potentially a gardener had mowed the grass and a stone had flicked up. A complete and unfortunate accident but some prior knowledge that a gardener was due would have been nice. Owners quickly had someone out to assess it and make it secure it however remained unusable for most of our stay. Welcome pack of biscuits, coffee, milk, teabags and soft drink a nice touch. Really good information book provided for guests. I feel bad and disappointed that my review sounds so negative as we really enjoyed our stay as we would return and recommend if small improvements were made. Hide

Beautiful cottage, nicely decorated. Had everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing week away. The children and the dog loved the large garden and we all enjoyed the table tennis and darts in the garage. It's an ideal base for Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley. Lengthy walks on the doorstep. We'll be returning. Thank you
