Property code: OC-WA113

Cowslip Cottage is a beautiful holiday home, oozing quality at every turn, with tasteful decorations, luxurious fabrics and sumptuous furnishings. Wonderful views over the Esk Valley, with the steam trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway running through the valley on their way to and from Whitby, can be enjoyed from many windows and the balcony.

The kitchen is very well equipped making cooking up a feast a pleasure. Your arrival is anticipated with a freshly baked loaf of bread, and the welcome hamper means you don't have to rush to unpack. Just pop the kettle on, enjoy some Yorkshire treats and get your holiday off to a great start.  If the weather allows, make the most of the patio furniture on the balcony, where you can enjoy those spectacular views and take in the fresh Yorkshire air.  The cottage includes a range of entertainment features including a large Smart TV with Netflix and a DVD player, and an Apple iPad is provided so you can stream Apple music to the Bluetooth speakers. All the bedrooms have deep pocket sprung mattresses with cosy throws and a Smart TV. The master bedroom on the second floor has a free-standing bath within the room as well as a separate en suite shower room with complimentary Elemis toiletries.

The cottage is in the village of Sleights, a perfect location for a Yorkshire holiday, within the North York Moors National Park and close to Whitby and the heritage coastline. Situated away from the main road on a quiet lane leading to Grosmont (2.5 miles), a typical Moors village and the location of the engine sheds for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. In Sleights you will find a small supermarket, a Bothams bakery, delicatessen, butchers, fish restaurant and a couple of pubs which serve food. Whitby, is just four miles away, has a wealth of attractions including the world famous Abbey, inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, a delightful old town filled with local shops, and a superb range of restaurants and tea rooms.

Cowslip Cottage has a connecting door to Cowslip Retreat (WA112), a beautiful studio apartment below Cowslip Cottage sleeping two people. You can book these properties together.
