Cowslip Retreat is a luxurious studio apartment, offering a high quality holiday home within an open plan space. With Farrow and Ball paints, designer fabrics and stunning artwork, this property is ideal for a "get away from it all" break. You can enjoy peaceful views of the Esk Valley, its fields and the steam trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from the lounge area and the garden. 

The accommodation includes a well equipped kitchen with cream units and granite worktops. A generous welcome hamper has a selection of Yorkshire treats, and a freshly baked loaf of bread will be timed to be ready for your arrival. The sitting area, cleverly separated from the kitchen by the breakfast bar, has a large sofa and an armchair placed in front of the patio doors so you can enjoy the views to the garden and beyond to the Esk Valley. The table and chairs is next to a log burner, set within an attractive stone and wood surround, which provides a cosy feature especially on a chilly evening. Entertainment is covered with a large Smart TV with Netflix and a DVD player, Bluetooth speaker and an Apple iPad which can stream Apple music. The bedroom area has a fabric sleigh style pocket sprung bed with luxurious bed linens and throws. The bathroom includes a large bath and separate shower enclosure with rainfall shower.  Complimentary Elemis toiletries are provided. The enclosed garden, with furniture and a BBQ, has picturesque views over the Valley and provides secure outside space if you are bringing your dog. 

Sleights is an excellent location for a Yorkshire holiday, within the North York Moors National Park and close to Whitby and the heritage coastline. The cottage is situated away from the main road on a quiet lane leading to Grosmont (2.5 miles), a typical Moors village and the location of the engine sheds for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. In Sleights you will find a small supermarket, a Bothams bakery, delicatessen, butchers, fish restaurant and a couple of pubs which serve food. Whitby, is just four miles away, with its numerous attractions, cobbled old town filled with local shops, and a superb range of restaurants and tea rooms.

Cowslip Retreat has a connecting door to Cowslip Cottage (WA113), a beautiful cottage above Cowslip Retreat sleeping six people. You can book these properties together.

A log burner within a stone and wood surround provides a feature in the dining area. The king sized bed has a luxurious pocket sprung mattress. 
Bathroom: a generously sized room with large bath, separate shower cubicle with rainfall shower, toilet and washbasin. Elemis toiletries.

Pets: Two dogs welcome - £50 per dog.
Garden: Enclosed lawned rear garden with flowers and shrubs, patio area with furniture. 
Parking: Paved parking area to the front of the cottage for one car. Electric vehicle charging point.
Heating: Under floor heating, log burner.
Short breaks: Accepted all year round. Arrival days are Mondays and Fridays.
Notes: Connectivity: Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. External 3G/4G mobile phone signal is variable; mobile phone calls can be made conveniently over the free WiFi.

Had a fantastic stay at cowslip retreat. Accommodation was beautifully decorated and to a high standard and well equipped but you do need to take you own sauces, oils etc etc. The views from the patio were outstanding. The pub at the top of the road was unfortunately temporarily closed so we had a walk to the Salmon Leap pub which was a 20 minRead moreute walk, they only have short opening hours 5-10 every day. Bus stop only a 5 minute walk to take you into Whitby. Molly was extremely helpful. I messaged het a few times with questions which she answered straight away. She was there when we arrived and showed us around. Would definitely recommend . Hide

it was beautifully appointed and in an excellent location. A bit pricey, but it's also very good. I really appreciated the quality.
