The Piggery is a stunning holiday home, filled with character, and offering guests luxurious accommodation and fantastic views over the Esk Valley. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway's steam trains can be seen winding their way through the Valley on their way to and from Whitby. Dating from the 1800s, this beautiful property exudes quality and feature details. The wooden floors, beamed ceilings and oak doors are just the beginnings of the character of this cottage.

The kitchen's oak units and granite worktops house quality appliances including a breadmaker which will provide you with a fresh loaf for your arrival, in addition to the generous welcome hamper packed with Yorkshire delicacies. If you enjoy home-cooked meals you'll find all kinds of gadgets to make cooking a pleasure, and then have the choice of eating at the generously sized dining table or al fresco on the balcony accessed through patio doors from this superb kitchen dining area. The sitting room has a stone surround real fire, perfect for relaxing in front of on cooler evenings, and large Smart TV with Netflix and a DVD player. An Apple iPad is provided so you can stream Apple music to the Bluetooth speakers. Patio doors lead out to a patio and further garden. The Weber BBQ provides an alternative to kitchen cooked meals.

There is a bedroom on the ground floor and two further bedrooms upstairs, all with an en suite shower room with complimentary Elemis toiletries. All bedrooms have king size beds with deep mattresses and super thick mattress toppers. Cushions and snuggly throws add to the appeal of these delightfully restful rooms, and each has a Smart TV.

The cottage is in the village of Sleights, a perfect location for a Yorkshire holiday, within the North York Moors National Park and close to Whitby and the heritage coastline. Situated away from the main road on a quiet lane leading to Grosmont (2.5 miles), a typical Moors village and the location of the engine sheds for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. In Sleights you will find a small supermarket, a Bothams bakery, delicatessen, butchers, fish restaurant and a couple of pubs which serve food. Whitby, is just four miles away, has a wealth of attractions including the world famous Abbey, inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula, a delightful old town filled with local shops, and a superb range of restaurants and tea rooms.

It is a really lovely cottage, beautifully appointed and presented. The views are superb and its in a very handy and quiet location. The only downside was the rather cramped upstairs bedrooms if used by 4 adults.
