Red Squirrel Cottage is a stunning beamed converted stables & cart store in the most beautiful of locations with 360 views of the hills of the Dales. If you love wildlife then this is the place for you, there are wild pigs on the hills and local deer, weasels, voles and long eared owls and to top it off the cottage is surrounded by red squirrels they are often only feet away from you by the cottage. There are 6 acres of wild land and wooded areas, a walled patio with stunning views and a pond teeming with toads and newts, an outdoor BBQ and seating areas including a stream and lawned areas, you will really be spellbound by this magical place. Red Squirrel Cottage has many features to ensure you have a luxurious and enjoyable stay. There are beautifully stylish rooms decorated and furnished in contemporary style with taste and grace. All the rooms are light and airy and have a real cosy feel, just right for relaxing after a day in Yorkshire. The woodburner ensures that your stay will be warm and cosy whatever the season, imagine snow on the tops of the hills and a walk in the crisp frosty air. There is a stylish and well-equipped kitchen with every convenience, this contemporary kitchen adjoins the living/dining area so the cook can enjoy company whilst rustling up a delicious meal from local produce. Upstairs you will find a gorgeous bedroom with en suite with beams and every window has fantastic views. If you are of an energetic nature the Pennine Way runs across Dodd fell and the Three peaks walk is only a short drive away.
On a clear night the star gazers of you will be mesmerised with the spectacle that unfolds as darkness falls – truly a magical experience and one for the night time photographers.

GROUND FLOOR
Entrance: Through the front door into the living room
Hallway: Hanging space and boot storage. Yorkshire stone flooring.
Lounge/Kitchen/Dining area: Walk into the living room and you will be met with a feeling of relaxation, there is a superb large sofa, supremely comfortable and just ready to sink into. A log burner is set in a lovely fireplace and will ensure that you are kept lovely and cosy whatever season you chose to stay. There is a large SMART TV with a full sky package including recording and surround sound, just right for an evening in cosying up on the wonderful sofa and indulging in a favourite box set. There is a lovely window seat to enjoy the view and a sideboard and nest of tables complete the contemporary look. A Table also graces the living room to share a cosy dinner or late breakfast before setting out to explore the Dales. The history of the building is apparent as stone walls and beams abound including a lovely beamed column and flagged stone floor with rugs.
The kitchen is well equipped and very stylish and has everything you want to cook up a storm. Why not find the hidden Jamie Oliver in yourself and create a masterpiece in the steam oven, use the built in combi microwave or the ceramic hob. There is an Illy coffee maker for that early morning coffee and lovely beams and stone floors. A real feature has to be the view over to the hills in the distance and the full-length window where you might see the squirrels run by. With tiled walls painted units and wooden worksurfaces, it has a distinctly contemporary feel.
The first floor is reached by a very attractive wooden staircase with a rope banister.
FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom1: A room with a view! King sized bed, 2 bedside tables chest of drawers. There is a lovely stone wall which really adds to the cottage appeal. A large room which you will enjoy relaxing in at the end of a busy day then and waken up and marvel at the stunning view, watch the clouds scurry by and bathe in early morning sunlight. A tub chair is also perfect for some me time with a good book.
En Suite Bathroom: How about lounging in the bath whilst watching the squirrels out of the window, if this sounds like an experience not to be missed this room is for you. There is a freestanding bath, a corner shower, square basin with vanity unit and WC and designer sanitary ware. A heated radiator/towel rail ensures your towels are nice and toasty.
