Summercombe is a stunning detached Grade 2 listed, detached barn conversion cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside yet less than 3 miles from the spectacular North Devon coastline in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The property nestles into the hillside and offers far reaching country and sea views from the grounds. This pet friendly property has a field for you to exercise your dog and there are footpaths leading directly from the grounds that offer exhilarating walks towards the small cove beach of Hele that is pet friendly all year round. It is the sister holiday let of Court Cottage which is in the centre of Berrynarbor village itself.
The town of Ilfracombe is just a short drive away with its spectacular coastal scenery, picturesque harbour and intriguing statue of Verity. Ilfracombe offers plenty to do including boat trips to Lundy Island, seal spotting, fishing trips, wandering around the many arts and craft galleries and a good choice of cafes and restaurants including a Michelin star restaurant. Ilfracombe also has Tennis Courts available at Bicclescombe Park which is ideal for children as well.
The pretty village of Berrynarbor is just over 2 miles away whilst the magnificent sandy, surfing beaches of Woolacombe Bay and the splendour of the Exmoor National Park are both only a 20 minute drive.
The accommodation has been architecturally designed throughout to provide a spacious and stylish living space on the first floor and two bedrooms each with ensuites on the ground floor. The thoughtful design includes traditional features as well as attractive contemporary style. The main door opens into a spacious entrance hall with slate flooring and underfloor heating with two bedrooms off. An oak and metal tread staircase leads up to the main rooms with its vaulted ceiling, glass balustrade and oak beamed ceilings which are flooded with light from the large skylights throughout. The woodburner in the sitting area provides extra warmth when you want to hunker down on a cooler evening to relax after a day out exploring this diverse area of Devon.
