Upper East Lodge is a beautifully presented apartment with amazing sea views in the heart of the much sought-after coastal haven of Southwold.  This luxury 3-bedroom property has recently been refurbished with every detail thought about.  Located just off the High Street and only a pootle from the sandy beaches, this really is the perfect retreat for those after comfort amongst the bustle of this pretty town.

The style throughout is voguish and homely with a nod to the coast.  The shaker style kitchen is equipped with everything one could need during their stay, but should you forget anything, there is the Little Gems grocers, Black Olive Delicatessen and Two Magpies Bakery literally around the corner.  There is a large island, complete with bar stools for dining, rustle up a feast and revel in stories about your day.  Or treat yourselves to the Sole Bay Fish Co just along the street.  Why not enjoy sundowners from the sitting room whilst soaking up the sea view from the large windows or pop to the much-loved Nelson for an evening drink or two.  This is the ideal base for exploring everything which this fabulous town has to offer.

With accommodation spread across two floors, a large shower room on the first floor and family bathroom on the 2nd floor there is room for everyone.  The master bedroom on the 2nd floor is stunning.  Lay in bed and enjoy morning coffee with stunning views across the water through the glass Juliet balcony. Please note: strictly no children under 12 years. This is a no smoking property.

FIRST FLOOR
Sitting Room: Comfortable seating for 5, coffee table, Smart television.

Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with electric oven, hob, fridge, small freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, Microwave, Washer/Dryer.

Bedroom 1: King size bed (can also be zip n link), bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers, mirror and wardrobe.
Shower Room: Large walk-in shower, WC and two washbasins.

 

SECOND FLOOR

Bedroom 2: Twin beds, bedside tables and lamps. Wardrobes with shelves, mirror.

Bedroom 3: King size bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers, wardrobes with shelves, Juliet balcony, chair and mirror.

Family bathroom: Bath with handheld shower head, WC and basin.

 

Pets: Regretfully NO pets please.
Heating: Gas central heating.
Notes: Upper East Lodge is NOT suitable for children under the ages of 12 or elderly guests. Under no circumstances must anyone go onto the flat roof. The steep stairs to the 2nd floor have limited balustrading. This is a no smoking property.

The cottage was nice, the stairs and uneven floor is not for the faint hearted the mat at the top of the stairs is a tripping hazard as is the floor coming up at the top of the stairs. The top floor was tiny and not really great for tall adults. The cottage could do with some flat baking trays to heat food up and possibly a bigger fridge. Beautifully kept accommodation, right in the centre of Southwold. Everything you could want from the cottage was catered for and we thought that parking may be an issue, but at the time of year outside school holidays, it was easy to find free parking very near the cottage. We had booked a grocery delivery which worked well but there is a Co-op andRead more Tesco Express in the town. We ate out a few times and the food we particularly enjoyed was at the Sail Loft and the Sole Bay in. Coaster was fully booked for the times and dates we tried, but that was for an inside seat not the beach huts in the courtyard of the restaurant. Hide

We thought this holiday let was beautiful it was in the perfect location near the sea and town. I would of liked to stay longer but I will definitely will book again.

Great location. Beautiful apartment. Very spacious and well equipped. Clever use of space and gorgeous decoration. Fab sea views and handy for shopping in the town. Not great for tall people upstairs ( not the fault of the owner- but worth knowing) and you need to be nimble to use the stairs.

Lovely accommodation - felt like home from home in a fabulous location. We wanted something central so we could park the car and forget about it for a few days and this location was perfect for that.
