Chart Cottage has been tastefully redecorated and had a new kitchen in late 2016. All of the bedrooms have modern ensuite bathrooms.

Chart Cottage was built at the start of Queen Victoria's reign in the 1830's as the headmasters accommodation of the village school. It is now owned by the Rattenbury family who are direct descendants of the famous Beer smuggler, Jack Rattenbury.

Location:  Centrally located, just a few minutes walk to the sea front.

Accommodation:   

Lounge  The lounge has retained its period character with beamed ceilings and a stone inglenook fireplace and electric log effect stove. There is a cosy sitting area with two settees facing a smart TV with DVD player.

Kitchen  Off the Lounge/Dining Area there is a spacious  kitchen with double oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.  Stairs to:

Master Bedroom  With King size bed, walk in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom with shower, wash hand basin and low level toilet.

Bedroom Two  Twin bedroom with two 2'  6" beds and fitted wardrobe. Ensuite WC and shower, wash hand basin and low level toilet.  Further stairs to:

Bedroom Three  Double bedroom with king size bed and fitted wardrobe, convertible to two singles. Full ensuite bathroom with shower and low level toilet.

Outside:
The paved courtyard to the front of the property is a sunny spot to sit and enjoy some al fresco dining.  With table and six chairs.

Free Off street parking for one car 35 yards away and additional free parking for a second car 150 yards away with our car parking permit.

Facilities:  All linen and towels included. Please note beach towels are not included.  WiFi available.  Parking and pets welcome.

Restrictions:  This property takes a refundable £150 Security Deposit against damage/breakages.

My friends and I really enjoyed staying in Chart Cottage which we found comfortable, warm and well equipped. The location is great, within easy walking distance of Beer beach and convenient for the village shop and with a parking space nearby - a luxury in Beer. We will certainly come again.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location. Walking into Beer was quick and easy and the parking spot was very handy. Would recommend this property and would also stay there again.

Weve stayed at this cottage a few times - ideal location for the village and local walks. Parking for 2 cars is a bonus. Cottage is well equipped and comfortable - especially as all 3 bedrooms are en suite.

No microwave, was told it would be replaced but wasnt. Grateful that we were called and informed of this though. Had to change battery in fire alarm

We are 3 couples who have just spent a week at Chart Cottage. The cottage is in an ideal position, just a short walk to shops and bars. Also central for visiting the surrounding area. Also the smallest bedroom is really only big enough for children, having small size single beds which were not comfortable for adults, and a very small en suite fitteRead mored into a cupboard with a strange toilet and shower arrangement. What a lovely cottage. We had a fabulous week at Chart Cottage, it was in a brilliant location and the cottage itself was clean, plenty big enough for us a family of 5 plus the dog, and it was really well equipped, it had everything we needed. The welcome box on arrival was a lovely touch, thank you for that. We really had a wonderful holiday and dRead moreidn't want to leave.
