This elegant property has been furnished to a high standard, very well equipped and comfortable ensuring guest have everything they desire for a happy holiday. Whilst kept minimal in decor it has interesting artwork from local artist Zee Jones and Bob Bradshaw and photographs taken by Tom Gladstone of the sea at Seaton during the great storm of 2014! The owners have made every effort to make this property special.

Location:  On Ashill Court in Townsend a 10 minute stroll to Beer village centre and amenities.

Accommodation:  Entrance into light sitting room elegantly furnished with two 2 seater sofas, oak furniture and modern LED TV with Blue Ray DVD player. Free Wifi is also provided.  This room is light and airy and very comfortable.

Kitchen: Very well equipped with electric oven and gas hob, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and Lavazza coffee machine. Hand painted Maple table and chairs. 
Bedroom 1: Double bed situated at the front of the house with fitted wardrobe and dressing table.
Bedroom 2: This has a John Lewis pine truckle bed with thick mattresses that is left as a single or pulled out from beneath to make twin beds.

Bathroom with bath/over bath electric shower, basin and WC.


Outside: Fully enclosed patio garden with raised area. Pot plants and garden furniture give this a Mediterranean feel perfect for alfresco dining.  Private access to parking for two cars at rear of property.

Facilities: Gas central heating. John Lewis Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels included.

We liked the cottage on the whole. The sofas were comfortable and the large TV worked well. The bed was comfortable and the shower and bath were good. The outside space was lovely - watch that bamboo doesnt take root in your garden. It will get everywhere. Parking worked well.

The cottage was well described and the location was great. The beds were comfortable. Beer is highly recommended. The holiday cottage team were very good at resolving an issue with the heating as an engineer was needed. These things happen and the team were professional in resolving it. This place is a little gem .. the perfect size for myself my mum and two small dogs to get away from the noise of fireworks we staying beginning of November.. Beer itself is a beautiful little town with friendly pubs and shops .. the beech is a short walk too, plus lots of other walks surround the cottage .. Ash cottage is well equipped .. a lovRead moreely welcome pack was a nice touch .. there were throws for the dogs although I did take some with me .. a book shelf with lots of books and a cupboard with dvds and games .. Property generally clean and tidy but starting to look a little tired. A full bag of recycled. Rubbish left outside. Neighbour said been there for over a week. Bag rejected by refuse collector.

The cottage is in a convenient location with two parking spaces. The town is within walking distance. The beds are comfortable and the garden is pleasant with a washing line.

Overall the cottage was very satisfactory. The two parking spaces were a bonus.Its situation on the outer edge of Beer gave you a nice walk down to the beach (lovely cafes) and shops etc but you do need to be physically fit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in Ash Cottage. It was in a great location. Just a ten minute walk down to Beer beach, shops and pubs. Comfortable and well equipped. There were so many added touches that the owner had thought of such as the night lights, welcome pack, throws. Plenty of wardrobe space and storage cupboard to put your clothRead morees away plus much more. Parking was a bonus too behind the property. The garden was enclosed and private. Secure for my dogs. Great location just 5 mins from central Beer and 10 mins from the beach. Property is great for a couple or family with two small children as the 2nd bedroom is compact. Back garden is a sun trap and has a pleasant seating area with a washing line if needed leading to a parking area for two cars.

The recycling was very detailed which I approve of, but there should have been a recycling sack which was not supplied. There was also no comments book in the cottage and it is helpful to get previous recommendations for walks, restaurants etc.

This beautiful cottage had everything we needed for our weeks stay. It was extremely comfortable and clean. 5 minute walk from Beer village which has a range of gift shops, a lovely wine bar and several pubs that serve food.

This property is in a very good location with easy walking distance to Beer which has good pubs. The property was snug but warm and comfortable with the added bonus of parking and compact secure garden. We had a couple of minor issues which we reported to Original Cottages office in Beer.

The cottage was lovely, everything you need for a self catering holiday and very comfortable. It was a lovely walk down to Beer beach and back & not too far to drive to other beaches. Great having own parking spaces behind cottage. Beer is very pretty.

We had a lovely week in Ash Cottage. Well equipped, warm, very comfortable, secure courtyard garden for our small dog and a parking space just behind. The village of Beer is so friendly and we loved the easy walk to the pebble beach and the variety of shops and places to eat on the way. We particularly enjoyed fresh pies from the Deli! It's a great location, most suitable for active couples, or for mum dad and two children, it would be a little cramped for four adults. Situated in a most attractive village with a stunningly beautiful bay.

Cottage ideally situated with off road parking a bonus. Bus to Sidmouth and Seaton as an option, or drive as the roads are ok. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The cottage is very conveniently located in Beer and has a parking space which goes someway to justify the cost which increases every year. The kitchen equipment is dated and well used especially frying pan and pots. The beds are comfortable and bedding and towels all white and clean.

Property is in a great location with the walk into the centre of Beer and the beach only taking 10 mins. Very quiet and good to have two parking spaces, as parking in the village is very limited. Cottage is well equipped with everything you could need, especially in the kitchen, with good WiFi and TV with lots of channels.
