"This is a fabulous property with great views across the river & surrounding area. Really comfortable accommodation & we loved everything about it!" - Jane Rider

On a stunning Promenade leading to Shotley Marina an exclusive estate of newly built houses can be found with absolutely breathtaking 180 degree panoramic views across the River Stour to Harwich and beyond, Felixstowe and the North Sea. Now’s your chance to stay in a truly one-of-a-kind location! A designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, your Holiday Home is newly constructed in 2019 with underfloor heating and triple glazed.

Admiralty Lodge offers something for everyone, thanks to the split level duplex accommodation making the most of its’ positioning and views. With arguably the best views of the Estuary, this 3 bedroom duplex Holiday Home has been thoughtfully designed to maximise on space and practicality.

A wide staircase from the entrance hall leads up to the first floor. Here you will find an open plan triple aspect living area with two spacious private balconies to fully enjoy and experience the ever changing surroundings. Dream of Al-Fresco dining or a cheeky tipple as you look across the waves to Harwich and the beautiful River Stour, watching  the delightful array of water traffic from yachts to cruise liners as they take their path towards the open sea, or maybe spot a seal almost touching distance from your balcony! Sunsets here are truly beautiful; plus the night-time view is transformed into thousands of twinkling lights in the distance. Magical!

Three double bedrooms are shared across two floors. Two double rooms can be found adjacent to the main living area, with one enjoying access to a large balcony with amazing views of the River Stour. The spacious master bedroom with King-size bed takes over the loft space on the second floor. Here too you will find a spacious private balcony. Television and ensuite shower room; all the mod-cons you should expect as a 21st century holidaymaker.

Thanks to its’ positioning Admiralty Lodge is great for those looking to explore. The Promenade which runs alongside the Historic Admiralty Pier to the five star Shotley Marina is a popular place for walkers and cyclists, or those who like to boat watch. There is a Nature Trail which runs along the Shotley Peninsula and circles both the River Orwell and the River Stour. The Shotley Peninsula is a dream area for walkers with footpaths galore.

Keen cyclists will enjoy using the local ferry providing connections to both Harwich and Felixstowe-a great way to enjoy and appreciate the Suffolk Countryside.

So for a holiday with a sprinkling of individuality suitable at all seasons, a stay at Admiralty Lodge is a must. The Bristol Arms pub/restaurant with live entertainment and the Shipwreck Bar/ Restaurant at Shotley Marina are both  a short walking distance from your stunning Holiday Home. A local shop and post office are a short drive or bus ride away, the bus stop is 100 yards from Admiralty Lodge with a regular service to Ipswich.

Pub: 100 yards, Shop: 1.7 miles.

Both the property and the location were fabulous - we didn't want to leave. The house was modern, clean, tidy and to a high standard. The view was stunning and we made good use of the balconies to sit and watch the water, sea birds and boats. Just brilliant and can't wait to return. Thank you!

I came with husband and two adult daughters to celebrate a birthday. The house was clean, comfortable and warm. We loved the views and walks, enjoyed a Thursday lunch at the Butt and Oyster (very busy) and a Saturday lunchtime drink at the Bristol Arms. Would have loved to take the ferry across to Harwich and Felixstowe but discovered it doesn't ruRead moren during the winter. So we may return for that. Hide

There was a general feeling that everything was at the minimum. No proper salt/pepper pots/only 3 dishwater tablets/minimal cushions. All small stuff but important . The views were amazing & we had a really enjoyable week but with a little effort & thought this would be a superb holiday stay
