Picturesque, characterful and family friendly, The Drift is an attractive cottage tucked away in a small hamlet, yet close to many of north Norfolk’s best attractions, not least the coastline, much of which is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage, originally built in the 1850’s, makes a comfortable and cosy holiday home. The conservatory, the sitting room with a wood burner for cooler days and the attractive garden to the rear, create a year-round relaxing atmosphere and a warm welcome. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, whilst on the ground floor the conservatory overlooks the garden and the kitchen is well equipped. Dog friendly too, there are some lovely walks from the doorstep to enjoy and the award winning pub at Hunworth, The Hunny Bell, is close by. Shop: 4 miles/Pub: 2 miles

Brinton is well placed for exploring the splendid coastline and pretty country villages that abound in this beautiful part of Norfolk. There is excellent walking and cycling along quiet lanes with many footpaths to explore. The sea and coastal marshes are only six miles away and two magnificent sandy beaches backed with pine woods with plenty of walks and cycle trails can be found a little further along the coast at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham; easily accessible in a short drive. The town of Holt offers boutique shopping, a great food store and plenty of pubs, coffee shops and restaurants to discover. Whilst here do not miss out on a scenic steam railway journey along the coast to Sheringham. National Trust houses at Felbrigg and Blickling and glorious parkland at Sheringham should also be on your ‘to do’ list.

Lovely clean cottage in North Norfolk, quiet village location, great for exploring the coastal walks, beaches and villages. The cottage was well equipped, especially with a good selection of kids books and a few toys/games, our 1 and 3 year old had a great week! There is also a non slip mat for the bath, a stairgate on the landing and a door to accRead moreess the stairs, all which were very helpful for young children. The cot (plus mattress) and highchair were in good condition. There is a blackout blind in the front bedroom cupboard (I found this on our last day!!) There is a very helpful guidebook in the property with ideas for days out and information about local services. The hosts were able to replace an item we found broken which was much appreciated. Milk in the fridge and tea bags too! The garden is also very pleasant, and the conservatory is an amazing suntrap! There is no dishwasher (as stated) and the staircase is very narrow and steep with a low ceiling, but as to be expected in an older property and having stairgate and door were very useful safety features for young children. We had a lovely holiday here and would recommend the property. Hide

The dirft cottage, is the perfect base for exploring north Norfolk! The kitchen is a good size and well equipped! Although a little on the dark side the living room is comfy, but as with older cottage the windows arent big. You do have to watch your head on the door frames if youre tall! The beds are comfy and you can tell everything is of good quaRead morelity. The bathroom is as youd want it and has a good shower. It is a lovely little cottage, the only negative Id say is its in need of a deep clean! .. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk. Thank you for the review, we are really glad that you enjoyed the stay. We have changed the cleaning company and instituted a regular deep clean and we think that this has worked well. We hope we can welcome you back soon. Hide
