Aldeburgh, home of the famous Aldeburgh Festival of Music, is a charming, historic seaside resort with many fine Georgian buildings. The town was a medieval fishing centre and fishermen still draw their boats onto the shingle beach to sell their catches. The area around Aldeburgh reflects the unspoilt nature of the Suffolk coast and only two miles along the shore is the unusual coastal village of Thorpeness, with its picturesque meare and excellent golf course. The town has a good selection of shops and eateries.

Great house, very comfortable, yet practical, we had a lovely week. Fantastic location a few steps from the beach and a great view of the sea from the lounge, the High Street is just behind the property. Would highly recommend.

It was a lovely house , great location , plenty of room for the 6 of us. Did expect a welcome pack , especially milk but luckily the co-,op was still open & managed to get a few essentials there.

Fantastic location in the centre of Aldeburgh. Wonderful sea view from the lounge and main bedroom. Having the garage was a great bonus. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was a very social space.

We loved the property and location. it was ideal for a very relaxed stay with the family.I would recommend it to people who would like a complete rest ,yet within all facilities such as shops, restaurants and the coast. Great seafood such as smoked kippers available from the stalls on the beach.

We've stayed in several good holiday properties in Aldeburgh, but this one was the best. Great sea views, central location, comfort, beautiful decoration, good books, good kitchen equipment, and the piano!

We stayed on 19th March for 3 nights with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a holiday, it is opposite the sea and the view from the lounge is lovely. The shower room in our twin felt like hotel standard and we were impressed with the cleanliness and facilities. We would definitely come back.Read more Hide
