Cowries Retreat is a lovely bright and well-equipped holiday cottage, whilst also being comfortable and cosy, and just minutes from a choice of many gorgeous north coast beaches. Well laid-out with a spacious open living/dining area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it offers good quality accommodation for a small family or adults looking to explore this wonderful area of Cornwall.

Situated on St Merryn Park with easy access to Padstow, the all-year-round, on-site facilities will appeal to both adults and children alike. They include a shop, bar and restaurant along with tennis courts, children’s play area and a sports court - suitable for all weathers - and there’s a dog exercise area especially for your furry friend. The facilities are far enough away from Cowries Retreat so as not to be intrusive but close enough to enjoy if you wish to participate. With the fantastic choice of sandy beaches close by, stunning coastal walks and the culinary delights found in the area, you’ll find plenty to occupy your time.

Entering from the parking area the accommodation is all on one level so ideal for someone less mobile and no steep hills to contend with.

Accommodation all on one level
Living Room/Dining Room: Smart TV, DVD player, CD player, electric feature fire. Range of comfy seating, dining table and chairs. A great range of books, films and games awaits you.
Kitchen:
Electric cooker, fridge,  dishwasher, coffee machine, slow cooker, Lavazza coffee machine.
Bedroom 1: King size bed (5'), bedside units, wardrobe, dressing table, hairdryer.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (2’6” – may be zipped together to form 5’ King if requested at the time of booking), bedside units, wardrobe. - Please specify bed configurations of bedroom 2 at time of booking. 
Bathroom: Electric shower over bath, basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Shower Room: Shower cubicle (with a step up to enter it), basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Utility Room/Store Area: Fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, storage space for bikes and beach equipment.       

GARDEN & PARKING: Private parking for up to 3 cars right outside. Large fully-enclosed garden to the rear with garden furniture, barbecue and extensive lawn. Outside tap.

Pets Welcome: Maximum 1 at £25 per week. Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat:
Electricity included in price, electric central heating, heated towel rails in both bathrooms.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: Highchair and travel cot provided.

Very comfortable and well equipped property that suited 2 adults and two large dogs. The location was great for the beaches and visiting Bodmin or Newquay. We will happily stay here again

Lovely property, very well equipped and comfortable. The location is also great for visiting all the beautiful beaches in the area. Would highly recommended staying here.

Lovely spacious bungalow, clean and well presented. The home had everything you could think of for wet days and sunny. The kitchen was well quipped and the welcome tray was much appreciated as we had forgotten to bring milk. Beds were really comfortable and linen of good quality. We had a great week in this property. It was very comfortable and clean. We know this area quite well so its location to the nearby beaches was very important for us. Our dog loved the garden which was a nice size.

Fabulous break at Cowries Retreat. Couldn't have wished for a better base to enjoy the beaches and surrounding area. Very comfortable, well appointed and well equipped property and fantastic enclosed garden for my dog (and me!). I even managed to sit on the bench in the sun on a couple of mornings. Very well equipped property, everything you need & it was so dog friendly as I could bring my dog in via the utility room which was a bonus rather than directly through the front door like other properties Ive stayed in. The garden is a good size & is also secure for my dog. Thank you so much.

The holiday chalet is in a great location to explore beautiful North Cornwall. It was very clean, well-equipped and the beds are really comfy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Cowries Retreat.

Had such a lovely week retiring childhood memories and what fabulous weather. Couldn't have asked for more. Lovely place to stay and will definitely be returning. Perfect location and great restaurants.
