We had a lovely week in Admiral Cottage. Having read a review from August we were concerned, but following reassurances from Original Cottages thats these comments/issues has been addressed we arrived and were really delighted with the cottage. Had everything we needed and well equipped. Would happily stop again and probably will.

A lovely cottage in a good location. Cottage layout worked really well with bedrooms at each end of the cottage and living rooms in the middle. Lovely garden, ideal for kids and a dog.

Excellent garden ! Really private, great for sitting out after long walks. We took our camping chairs which were needed for comfortable sitting outside. Great Egyptian cotton bedding and comfortable beds.

This a beautiful old cottage in the heart of Beadnell. It is a fabulous location within a short walk of the beach and lots of good pubs and places to eat. The cottage has a nice feel and different to the normal. The two bathrooms are ideal when two couples are away together. It has plenty of outdoor space for children to run around and or pets to exercise. At the time of our stay it was cool outside but not cold and due to lack of insulation keeping the property warm wasn't easy the log fire was a gRead morereat help after we had sourced somewhere to buy logs. Overall the property is pleasant and we enjoyed our stay, but the previous comments mean it is let down and not as good as a lot of previous properties we have used run by other agencies. Hide

Our second visit and our last. The property has deteriorated. Carpets are very badly stained, as are the mattresses and quilts. Kitchen is well equipped but the crockery was dirty and we had to place everything in the dishwasher. There is mould on the nets in the bedrooms. The electric heaters do not sufficiently heat the property in winter. The sRead moreofas need replacing (and did last year) and need to provide comfortable seating for 6 people not 5. It is a beautiful cottage, in a great location, but desperately needs a deep clean and some investment. Hide

We were a party of 2 couples and 3 dogs, and we found The Cottage perfect for our needs. The garden, although the grass was very long, was lovely for the dogs to play in. The cottage itself was warm and cosy, and spacious enough for us all. Ideal location for a walk to the beach. We walked to a couple of the restaurants in the evening and the food Read morewas lovely. This was our first visit to Northumberland. We will be back next year and wouldnt hesitate to stay at The Cottage again. Hide

A fantastic cottage in an amazing location. The cottage was perfect for our family break with our dogs and the garden was so peaceful and relaxing. We have already booked again for next year. The garden is not completely secure for dogs as there is a low wall in one part of the garden and there is a gap behind the shed where a dog could get throRead moreugh and onto the road. We always travel with a crate and a dog pen/fence so we were able to use these to cover the gaps. Also it would have been nice to have a useable bbq at the property, we ended up buying one to use during our stay. Also there was no information folder/booklet at the property so we struggled with accessing the WiFi and finding basic local information. Hide

Lovely cottage! Beadnell is a fantastic village, 10 mins walk to the beach, a couple of minutes to the 2 local pubs and 5 minutes to the local shop. We noticed there wasnt a welcome pack or folder which was unusual compared to other properties we have been to. There was leaflets about bin collections but they were out of date. Also a lack of hoover bags and the bag that was already on the hoover was full and not been emptied for some time but we managed to make do but its something to perhaps consider taking with you for future residents. Parking is available for 2 cars which was perfect for us. Seahouses is only a few minutes drive up the road and has a large Co-Op store and more bars/restaurants and the cottage is perfectly situated for the castles and other towns like Alnwick. All in all a very enjoyable stay Hide
