We arrived at the cottage in subzero temperatures. All the storage heaters had been turned off at the mains so they were unusable for 24hrs. There was enough firewood supplied for one evenings burning in the wood burner and to small electric radiators, it was impossible to get the cottage warm enough to sit without our hats and coats on. By the midRead moredle of the week the storage heaters were working and after spending 40 for firewood we were eventually warm enough. Hide

Cottage was in a great location but needs a deep clean to compete with other cottages in the area. On a positive note the beds were comfy. It had a smart TV. Based on other cottages we have stayed in this was a little below par for the star rating. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Weve spoken to the owner and the issRead moreue has now been resolved. Hide

This cottage is ideally situated for exploring the area and has easy access to Bamburgh beach, also a short walk into the village or the Castle. We had a lovely holiday and would come again.
