Set just 200 metres from Seahouses Harbour and under a mile from the beach, this sweet seaside cottage is ideal for friends and families in search of Northumbrian coastal adventures. Take the 2-hour boat trip to the Farne Islands’ Longstone Lighthouse, or a seabird and seal cruise amongst these exquisite isles (puffins proliferate here from April to late July). Bamburgh Castle (4 miles) is a magnificent Norman fortress overlooking the North Sea. Make a pilgrimage to sublime Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle and Priory (19.5 miles), where Vikings once raided. There are more marvellous sands at Annstead Dunes Nature Reserve (1 mile), Beadnell Bay (3 miles), Embleton Bay (8.5 miles) and Goswick (19.5 miles). Explore the beaches and museums, the castle and the independent shops, pubs, eateries and galleries of historic Berwick-upon-Tweed (22.5 miles).
Inside the cottage, you’ll find a bright and cosy interior. The lounge has a lovely leather sofa, a brick hearth with a decorative electric fire and a TV.
