Maerdy Uchaf was the perfect holiday home for us - 6 adults and one dog. It is a spacious cottage with all the facilities you need - with lovely walks from the front door and all the beautiful views around us, plus the little lake for a bit of kayaking too. A great base for our visits to Snowdon, Penrhyn Quarry Zip Line, canal walk to the ViaductRead more, and great to relax in the loveliest hot tub after a busy day walking miles. The friendliest owners - thank you so much for all your time and great stories - you made us feel so welcome. We were very blessed with gorgeous weather but the cosiest cottage to come back to each day. Thankyou so much - absolutely recommend a stay here. Hide

Peaceful isolated farm land location with stunning views and spacious accommodation. I took elderly parents, two teens, myself and a dachshund who had a fabulous time getting back to nature. Starlit evenings, hot tub gins and a sense of calm made for a wonderful family break. The comfy beds and bed linen were of superior quality and hot water and Read moreheating were excellent. The downstairs wet room and games room were a hit with teens. Two lovely lounges and a piano which was a bonus. The super large kitchen was where we spent most of our time when indoors eating, painting and discussing the history in the those 1664 beams! The family who own Maerdy Uchaf are very friendly and even drove us up to the highest point in the pick up which was a real treat for my parents who can no longer climb. All in all we loved our stay and would encourage, those who are able, to walk those hills and absorb the superb surroundings with cows, sheep, pheasants and birds and a farmer on his quad bike Hide
