For bird enthusiasts, the area, much of which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has two dedicated bird reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham itself and the beaches at Heacham, Hunstanton, Brancaster and Thornham are all within easy reach. Farm shops abound in the area and make a special stop at Norfolk Lavendar in the next-door village of Heacham. Snettisham Mill has been beautifully restored and is placed in a stunning setting. Dog friendly too. An upside down property that takes a few minutes to adjust to. The grounds and garden are vast giving the ideal opportunity to feed the numerous ducks that abound. The nearest and best pub, The Rose & Crown, is a good fifteen minute walk away buRead moret well worth the effort. I would thoroughly recommend this property. Hide

A well appointed, well equipped cottage with an interesting history. Plenty of facilities in the main part of the village, about a 10/15 minute walk. Only minor quibbles would be lack of a dishwasher for a property of this quality and a very small fridge although a decent size freezer! A redrawing of the kitchen could sort both points out.

Ease of booking, good communication and a comfortable and enjoyable stay. No laundry bags left out, but found a couple of bags in a bedroom drawer so used those.
