The cottage sits within the courtyard of Knapton Hall, which with the local church of  St Peter's, is mentioned in Pevsner. It has undergone extensive refurbishment and offers superior accommodation which is both spacious and well equipped. Tastefully decorated and furnished with the benefit of an outdoor swimming pool during the months July-Sept, the cottage is truly a great holiday location. Knapton is a small, quiet rural village just a couple of miles from the sandy beaches of Mundesley with Sidestrand and Cromer a little further up the coast. The small market town of North Walsham offers individual shopping opportunities and from here you could catch the local train to the county's historic capital, Norwich. With the Broads and Wroxham also close by, this is a great location for exploring and enjoying the many attractions of the county.

A beautiful, well equipped and comfortable cottage in gorgeous location , very well placed for visiting the coast , Norwich and the Broads . It is spacious and well set out with 2 sitting rooms ,making it perfect for 2 couples or multi generational family. Very warm welcome from Carol and Steve ,with lovely treats .

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed and is in a lovely location which is very peaceful and a good base for exploring the wider area. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

We have been coming to Knapton cottage for 4 years now. It feels like a home from home to us. Carol and Steve are amazing hosts who we look forwarding to visiting annually! There is so much to do at the house - swimming, use of the walled garden (this year Steve set up a net for our boys to play badminton which they loved) and lovely walks around fRead moreor us to take our dog. It can be an action packed holiday (lots of beaches and towns/villages to visit) or as chilled as you need it to be, relaxing by the pool or in the garden. We will be coming back again next year for sure!! Hide

Great cottage. Comfort excellent. Well equipped modern kitchen. 2 lounge rooms is unusual in rental properties and really good for those in the group who want a bit of quiet. The 2 outdoor seating areas at each end of cottage allowed us to get all day sun. Breakfast on the table and evening cocktails on the chairs. Lots of lovely walks close by.Read more Cottage well located and easily accessible for exploring the area but in a nice, quiet rural location. The owner is super helpful. Knapton Hall was absolutely outstanding, everything was so clean and the amount of equipment was surprisingly good. The owner was so friendly and helpful, I have nothing negative to say about this holiday

Fabulous cottage in an ideal location for visiting the coast and area attractions. Very peaceful and comfortable with everything supplied equipment wise you could possibly need and also ample private gated parking right outside your door. There was also the added bonus of private garden areas for relaxing in but a beautifully stocked walled garRead moreden was ideal for the dog to play with the hosts dog. A clean fenced off pool area is also on site to enjoy in warm weather which we managed to on our final day. Fantastic hosts too who lived nearby and made us very welcome.
