Property code: OC-P00753

Nestled on the hillside on the fringes of Penzance, the sweeping views from Lower Trenarthan out across the expanse of Mount's Bay will literally take your breath away. It’s the kind of place where you will sit and marvel at the beauty before you - come sunshine or storms. A fabulous wrap-around covered balcony provides the perfect spot to sit early in the morning whilst you plan your ventures for the day or tucked up with a blanket in the evening watching the sun go down on the horizon.   Please note this hillside location does have a steep driveway that may not be suitable if you have limited mobility.

This reverse-level house is laid out to take advantage of the position overlooking the bay and is flooded with natural daylight and views from every angle on the first floor. A twin bedded room on the ground floor with separate shower room, together with a master en suite on the first floor provides excellent options for either a couple or family. The open-plan living space with its huge corner sofa, doors out to the balcony and modern kitchen facilities will ensure a sociable environment to enjoy relaxing time together away from everyday life.

Penzance is an historic port renowned for its art and festival scene and home to the Jubilee Pool, an Art Deco Lido situated on the famous promenade, a fantastic place for all ages to swim safely in a salt-water pool. The dining scene in the town has blossomed with an emphasis on local, fresh seafood, tasty brunches and contemporary menus. Base yourself here to explore the many attractions of far west Cornwall, take a trip to the outdoor Minack Theatre and watch a show in splendid surroundings or book a short boat trip around Mount's Bay taking in St Michael’s Mount, Newlyn Harbour and Mousehole.

The house is beautiful and the views are amazing however please note this house is up a really steep driveway and when unloading car you will struggle opening car doors nearly took the hinges off as was that steep. Walking back down to the car was a mission as there is no where to hold onto we had to snake across drive but was difficult with luggagRead moree. Overall the house is lovely but the drive needs to address walking issues by adding railings or long steps at side. Hide

We absolutely loved our week in Lower Trenarthen.....the views are absolutely fantastic! The house was very quiet and comfortable and we could have stayed all day sitting on the large settee looking at the view of the sea and St Michael's Mount. The drive is very steep, so we didn't risk parking our car on there, but there was always space on the rRead moreoad opposite the bottom of the drive, so this was no problem. We would definitely recommend a stay here and hope that we can visit again in the future. Hide

We would describe the driveway as extremely steep. We are fit 70 somethings but found it necessary to zigzag going up and down.

Whilst the position of the Cottage givwa an amazing view over the bay, for older or infirm visitors please be aware the drive/access to the cottage is very steep, without any handrails. Parking on the drive is also difficult because of the steepness and access.

We have had the best holiday yet, and for the first time have been asked to completely switch off. It really made us feel at home and just to be able to relax. We are definitely coming back, and we have booked this for our other family members in June we enjoyed it that much and have recommended it to others.

We enjoyed every single minute in this wonderful property. The views to Penzance Harbour and over the sea to St. Michael's Mount were fantastic. Everything was modern and fresh and there was a huge comfy sofa. The WI-fi worked and the televisions were large and easy to use. There was an outdoor verandah running around 2 sides of the property wherRead moree you could sit and have coffee. There are so many great places to visit from here - Newlyn (where the artists lived), Penlee House Art Gallery, the Scilly Isles by helicopter, St. Ives, Zennor cliff walks, the MInnack theatre and garden, St. Michael's Mount, Trengwainton Gardens etc. We didn't want to come home and when we left the owner gave us one of her plants.
