Situated in the coastal village of Walberswick, Pembroke Cottage makes for the perfect seaside escape. With a layout ideal for both families and friends, no matter the occasion, you are sure to have a memorable stay in this stylish self-catering cottage. Walberswick is a firm favourite with those looking for a coastal retreat with its sandy beach, great pubs, the picturesque harbour which separates Walberswick from neighbouring Southwold, and being arguably, one of the best crabbing spots around! Pembroke Cottage is ideally located to fully experience all that this seaside village has to offer.
Pembroke Cottage isn’t short on space and it has been beautifully furnished to provide a comfortable and welcoming space for six guests. The cosy sitting room is a sophisticated space – picture yourself spending an evening in playing games with your family in front of the roaring open fire. There’s also a playful snug ideal as a breakaway space for relaxing but be warned, if you have children with you then they may just take this space as their own! Continuing on the ground floor, there is a spacious and contemporary kitchen/diner which is well equipped with everything you need for your self-catering stay. A utility room has all the essentials; equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer and offering a great place to stow away those sandy shoes!
When it’s time to recharge your batteries, then it’s up to the first floor where you’ll find four chic bedrooms. Bedroom 1 provides flexibility with zip and link beds meaning it can be made up as either a twin room or a super king bed (please let us know your requirement at time of booking). This room also boasts an ensuite shower room. Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and the two remaining rooms host single beds. Completing the first floors is the family bathroom with bath and overhead Aqualisa shower.
The snug has french doors leading to the outside space – an enclosed garden with small patio area. Just picture yourself here, dining alfresco in the summer sunshine.
There are two pubs and a café within walking distance from the cottage so you have the option of eating in or dining out. If you’re looking to explore a bit further then we recommend crossing the harbour to neighbouring Southwold via the quirky foot ferry, where you can soak up the vibrance of this popular seaside town and its delightful pier. If it’s the beach you’re after, the sandy stretch of beach and the dunes of Walberswick will not disappoint. Pembroke Cottage is ideally located to enjoy all of this and much more - it is sure to be a cottage you’ll be itching to return to!
